Man I am lucky o.o
I walked into a Best Buy after work and I saw a guy with a Wii in a bag. So obviously I asked him where he got it and said there was only one left. I went where he said and I saw anothe guy with a bag and I was pissed but luckly they had another one so I ran to it and hugged it ^^ and was the last one too but I had to go to Target to get Zelda and to make it better is that Target had Zelda on sale! ^^
Good luck for those who haven't gotten a Wii! Never give up!
add: this was at the best buy in Kennesaw Ga
also they got the shipment in during the afternoon

First post....wooo..
Anyhow, for those of you that were lucky enough to already get your wii's, such as Dyne, I have notcied that nobody really has said where in the stores they were. I know some people have taken them right off the unloading pallete, some got them out of back rooms, etc. IF I were to be lucky enough to spot one like Dyne did, where, more than likely would it be (and yes, I know it wuld be in the electronics department, more than likely near the display for the Wii..) Specifically for Dyne, were the Wii's just stacked there or what?
I seriously hope I do get lucky and find one though..I really don't feel like camping out Sat. night (and I will).
Thanks
Dyne, what time did you get off work and go in?

i won't be camping out; my father won't take me and stay with me.
so, one hour is my only way. I camped out the first time, and didn't get one. So, we wont camp out again. And I really want my wii. And I JUST WANT IT! lol, please help. Thanks!

Well, if your not camping it doesnt mean others wont. if you go 1 hour early you'll just be at the back of the line thats all. You can still try, but why dont you go for a drive before... and pick a store that has less people?

OK, so it looks like at least one best buy and target got a shipment when they weren't supposed to.
This is making me nervous, I guess I'd better start using that phone and see how many employee lies I can rack up.

Yes, but i've been reading this thread. And it's making me think. I'll check EB games today (Its' 12AM) && friday at NOON. And maybe i'll get lucky. If not, I'll check out Gamestop. Then I'll check out TRU. If still no luck Target. Hopefully. I will get lucky and i'll find me a wii. If not, I'll try again. If I don't get it then i have friday and sunday. please let me score!
oh, and i have no idea why i'm still up this early.

I'm in the same boat as you Alex. I'm trying to find one for my bro......don't mind an hour or so wait, but no camping out or whatever. I planned to hit the stores on the 31st as well.
Remember to look up the opening times! For example, the Target here opens at 8am while Best Buy opens at 10am.......so I could easily hit both of these right when they open. just a suggestion...

My story of grabbing a Wii in Buffalo, NY (thanks to this forum)
I just want to thank those of you who post when you find out during the day when stores were getting wii's. I was driving around for about 3 hours today looking for wii's(for the5th day in a row) and as I came home defeated, I thought why not wait until the 31st. Then I saw this talk about target today, and I flew there, and was lucky enough to grab a wii. It was a pretty awesome experience, to say the least.

Yes, Exactly.
Yeahh, Best Buy and Target are fairly 5 minutes away from each other.
I could go to Target then check out Best buy. I heard Best buy is getting a huge shipment, but i don't know if it's in your area nor mine. I'm going to try EB games/Gamestop tomorrow at noon. because i've heard they get daily shipments. Maybe my dad will be willing to take me there a couple of times, lol. I doubt it.! So, My chances are slim for that.
I guess...my only real chance is the one day he'll take me to the local mall, to check out EB games, Gamestop, and TRU @ noon. Then check my luck the 31st with BB and TARGET, maybe WAL-MART, but i doubt wal-mart.
Good Luck.

Lucky, I'm in Niagara Falls. I've been unsuccessful. I may just run over to EBGames or GameStop tomorrow around noon.

I don't have my wii yet but I did want to say thanks to all who have posted tips in this thread (I've been lurking on it for weeks now).
I'm not giving up.
I've made many attempts, came close on the 19th -- was 9th in line, they had 7.
I tried many other times up to Dec 25th. Tried Toys R Us twice, Target, Walmart, Best Buy, Circuit City, Electronics Boutique (diff location than EB Games from before).
Today
I had my closest try so far today-- was 5th in line at an EB Games and there were 4!!!
Tried at Best Buy today too and was told they didn't have any but they had them this morning
Tried at Target today -- Noonish -- and they said they didn't have any.
I'm starting to wonder if the two Targets I have checked have been lying to me.
EDIT: The locations I have been trying are in Central to Northern California (Been checking spots on my Christmas road trip)

Went on the search for a Wii today, but with no luck. Here in Australia we don't get daily shipments. All the big stores are sold out and have no idea when they will get any more. EB said they have orderd a big batch but said they are all on pre-order. Toy Kingdom is my biggest hope, the man said he is expecting a couple in 2 - 4 weeks time. He took my details and will ring me when he gets a date.
I need all the luck in the world to get a Wii! One shop owner said that Australia have a very limited supply of Wii's.

Hey guys! Today I searched for 4 hours in Tokyo, I went into 34 stores and everywhere Wii and PS3 were sold out. Do you know when there will be a next shipment from Nintendo in Japan, in January?
Can American pplay with a Japanese Wii? Can they choose English menu ?
With PS3 it is possible, I know.
Thank you for help,
apple-freak

Tried my nearest Gamestop yesterday. The guy told me he was out, but to come back today around 10 am, and they should probably have some. So I'll give it a shot. Wish me luck.
