If Target got shipments today does that mean they won't get any tomorrow?


I went to Target at 8AM today and they didn't have Wiis. I then went to a Target one town over at around 9:30 and they didn't have any either.

I went back to the first Target at about 5pm and they told me they had gotten "a bunch" of Wiis around 10 AM!!!!!!!!!!!

Grrrrrr

So I'm wondering if Target might get a shipment 2 days in a row?

I must be the most unlucky Wii Searcher ever.... this is my 5th week looking for a Wii, came close twice. Been to MANY stores in different towns.

Try again tomorrow...quite possible (likely) that they will have more.

I think I will recevie itrackr alert if the target in my area has stock. I will post here when I got a alert to let everybody know.

Hi guys, I'm also desperately searching for a wii and I've been trying to sign up for itrackr. I'm having a problem paying for the tracking alerts. Specifically, the pop-up comes up asking which method I'd like to use to pay, but I can't select anything. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm using Safari.

Well, I'm gonna be headed over to the Target in Fair Lakes tomorrow at about 10-10:30ish. If anyone else is going I'll see you there. I'm going to bed now so peace.

Wow am I lucky. I was out to dinner with my family and decided to stop by Best Buy on the way home just in case. No such luck as the guy said that they had sld out earlier that day. Just for the heck of it, I stopped by the Target near my house and I couldn't believe it....there were at least 5 Wii's in the case. No one was really even in the electronics area! The strangest part was that this was at 7:00 EST...you would think they would have been sold out by then.

My dad couldn't get me one before christmas, but I got an IOU. Were still trying to get one ASAP but when my dad went last he couldn't get one. But he found out an important tid bit of info.

THE IMPORTANT PART
The stores in my area, (Wal-mart, target, best-buy, etc.) were getting the shipment of Wiis in on THURSDAY but wern't selling them until SUNDAY.

Now I may not know if this has changed since after christmas, but you may want to check earlier on those days.

Remember, I live in South eastern Michigan, So this may not apply to everyone.

Hey all, first time poster.

I was wondering has anyone paid for this iTrackr website and seen results as in getting an accurate alert and getting a Wii from that store shortly after? I know it's $2.00 but I'm just curious if the website is a legitimate tool to use to get this system. I've already found out that calling stores does absolutely nothing, I can't tell if they're lying or not on the phone (spent all day doing this...wish I hadn't).

You don't have to pay for itrackr unless you want the alerts (sent to e-mail, cell or whatever). If you sign up, which is free, and then go into the "Hot Items" section, click on on the "more info" button. This will take you to a screen that tells you which stores supposedly have it in stock, although apparently only the Target stores update their inventory reliably.

If you *do* decide to pay for the alerts, will you let me know how that worked out for you and which browser you're using? Thanks.

Yeah, I think I will just sign up. Alerts work better for me rather than sitting on my computer and waiting, I can have the advantage of being texted while I'm out near stores.

I will for sure let you know how it works out and I am currently using Firefox 2.0.0.1.

FYI, there's a Best Buy employee posting on another thread who is stating that Best Buys are no longer holding Wii's until Sunday (as of last evening, apparently). This likely explains the free Wii's at Best Buy tonight the previous poster mentioned.

Another hint about the itrackr, if you go to that "More Info" page and click on who else is tracking the Wii's in your area it will break down how many people are tracking each store. The inventory status might not be totally up-to-date, but you can at least get a sense of the competition you've got out there.

Yeah, I'm going to try and do what you will be doing, Brandon. It sounds like Target is the place to try this week (besides BestBuy on Sunday). I keep seeing more listings on Craigslist/EBay with descriptions claiming to have picked it up at their local Target's today.

Hm, maybe I'll hit up BestBuy tomorrow as well, it couldn't hurt. I'll post back after I go to both places.
