Yeah, I'll be hitting up Target first thing at 8:00 and then I'll walk over to TRU and wait there until 10:00. Then I'll walk over to a GameStop and hopefully meet the UPS guy there. Meanwhile, my boyfriend will be waiting in line at BestBuy.
The wii hunt is getting old. I had been trying the online route for one of those ridiculous bundles, but after having wii's in my shopping cart twice only to later be told they're out of stock, it's time to start pounding the pavement.
I'd like to stick with the big stores, I don't trust the clerks at EBgames and GameStop to give me an honest answer.

That's exactly how I feel. I was trying to get it online but it seems even harder than looking in stores. That's why I am now going out to stores to look and disregarding EBGames and GameStop. The workers in those stores just don't ever seem to be telling the truth. I feel like they just hide the incoming systems for the kids that hang out in there every day from opening to closing talking about Final Fantasy/World of Warcraft side quests.

Does anyone know the limit per person? I need to grab two (one for me and one for my brother; no way would I re-sell one of these.)

After trying for a week, I finally got one today at Target. I called a Gamestop in my area and they said they had two left so I raced down there to get one and right when I got there the two people in front of me in line bought them. I drove back home to get the phone book and check wiiseeker and read about Target so I called them and they had 8 in stock so I picked one up. No wiimotes and Zelda was out of stock but that didn't seem to matter when I carried my Wii out of the store.
If you live in KC, check the Gamestop on Bannister around 11 AM each morning they should get some in the next 3 days

Just to let you know, don't call stores. 99.9% of the time they are LYING to you.
Another helpful hint is to check your local papers as section because the stores will post how many are available on the certain day. Like so.
Shipment comes Thursday.
Fridays paper has ads form stores.
Sunday they sell. (In my case, may be differnet other places)
Another helpful tip is to have someone who works at the stores to buy you one then pay them back.

i got a wii
it was like 9:45-10:00 am today and i just randomly called Target to ask if a new shipment had arrived. to my surprise, they said yes! i flew(not really) to the target to find about 10 or 15 wii's in stock .. the new shipment had arrived 5 or 10 minutes before i had called. So, i quickly snagged it coupled with legend of zelda: twilight princess. 2 customers behind me were happy to see it in stock as well.
>_> i swear im not bragging.. hope this helps

I heard that the target i go to restocks on fridays, so I'm definitely gonna go tomorrow morning at like 8 when they open and stay until like 12 or so. I'm definitely hoping it works, since I finally have the money for it.

Hm, what are the odds of finding a second controller + nunchuck on the same day I get a Wii?

Damn, I've never heard of a controller being hard to come by for a system that is already hard to find. Don't understand how Nintendo owns in the gaming industry after all these years.

Well, 2nd controller is a secondary priority at this point..seeing as I don't have a Wii.
What about Zelda: Twilight Princess? Is that a rare commodity also?

Not at all, at least the stores I go to, they're over-stocked in that. Unfortunately I won't be able to get it yet if I manage to get my Wii tomorrow, as I only have $263.

According to a few posts back, they are apparently selling those wii's before hand if you go in. I mean, I'm heading to Target anyway that's no less than 2 mins away from BestBuy, so it's worth a shot.
