I just got back from Target. They didn't have it and the guy said that he didn't know when the shipment today was coming. But he said it is coming today!

went to target this morning as well, no such luck. They had gotten 2 cases of them on Wednesday.

Another morning of disappointment. I went to Best Buy when they opened...no Wiis. I then camped with a friend at one of the Targets where I just barely missed getting a Wii yesterday...fedex didn't come between 10-11:30, so I gave up. Checked the same Best Buy again, still no shipment for the day. I then hit Gamestop, which had 3 systems...which were sold out over an hour before I showed up. No Wii for Mii.

Yo! I live in Northern VA, too. I used to work at the target in fair lakes mall that u r talking about

and my friends are working at best buy in the same mall

yeah, I also went to 2 gamestops and an EB games (as well as BB, and TRU x2). The guy at gamestop said he gets in about 3 a week and gets about a thousand calls a week. kinda disappointing.

there was a DHL truck at TRU the second, but it was delivering PS3's

Failed my mission again. Amazon was gonna sell it today 7 AM - 11 AM PST. I waited and refreshed for 2 hours. They sold out in 5 seconds. They only had about a dozen from what I read from the Amazon Forum. ):

ummm, did I blink and miss the amazon thing? It now says that they are out of stock, yet I've been refreshing the page like a fiend and never saw it on sale?

Why would Amazon even sell them if they only have 12 units? That's ridiculous. They could have at least posted how many units they had so I didn't waste my freaking time!

I think it's pretty crappy of Amazon to announce they are going to have stock and then run out in literally 5 seconds. Why announce it when they would have sold on their own anyway, especially if they only have 12 units as rumored. They probably have a hundred or so people checking at any given time for the Wii even without this announcement. I was constantly refreshing Amazon and it went from the wait from 7-11pst to out of stock.

Agreed. I was refreshing like a mad man for 2 hours and they only sell like 10.

Well, that's it. I'm now putting my faith into itrackr. The online route has gotten me nowhere. It's as if they can sense when I leave my post for a moment and **BAM!** they go onsale. And when I do get one in my shopping cart, they take it away from me in the 20 seconds it takes to check out.

I refreshed the TRU page every ten minutes yesterday and nothing. I leave this morning to go there in person, and they start selling the freaking things online. It's maddening!

I'm seriously considering going down to the UPS warehouse with cash and asking them which trucks have wii's and where they're going. The warehouse was wide open this morning with drivers just milling about. Who knows?

I just got back from Target, and they told me they'd be getting more Wii's on sunday. So, I'm gonna have to wake up early for that too.

nifty thing you can now do with you Wii. Opera and Nintendo made a web browser for the Wii. It is in beta testing right now and the finished version should be done soon.

I find the Sunday shipment strange. Who delivers on Sundays?

Had a nice chat with the BB folks (Philadelphia store) this morning. They confirmed that Wii's are not being held for Sunday (although PS3's are). They also said that they are getting their shipments directly from Nintendo (via UPS, Fedex, etc). This means that you should go there in the middle of the day rather than first thing in the morning (at least in Philly).

It's definitely a good idea to ask your local stores where they get their wii's from.

I'd love to know if your Target is getting there's from a Target warehouse!

Oh crap. I went to Toys R Us went in and they said they didn't have any. I walked right by a fed-ex truck parked next to the store.

May have just shot myself in the foot...
