Ouch. That sucks. Yes, the TRU people also told me that they were getting their units from FedEx, etc. They couldn't tell me if it was primarily one carrier or the other. I assumed that these big stores would be getting shipments from a central warehouse, but apparently that isn't the case (at least for TRU and BB, I am still curious about Target).

Unfortunately, that means that the best time to hit all of the stores is middle of the day, which is going to make the frantic running around even worse.

I bet that FedEx guy only had PS3's!

Good luck. I bought my first Wii at Gamestop, I called on the phone and he told me to try the one closest to me first, and if the line was too big, then to try his store. He was 100% correct. I've been playing since Black Friday.

I'd try Gamestop in the early afternoon. You never know if they are going to get controllers in. I needed another nunchuck and they had 20 in stock last Tuesday. I need a Wiimote also, so I pre ordered Wii play for $50.00, which comes with a Wiimote. I have to wait till the 15th.

I've been searching for a wii and I just missed a target shipment yesterday. Two targets around me got 25 wiis each but I didn't find out until 3:30. When I got there at 4:00 the last couple they had were gone. Anybody know about this supposed sale at best buy on sunday? I saw something about it on wii seeker but now they have taken that prediction down.

Frustrating.

I went to Target at 9am, no Wii in stock but was told to wait until 1pm when the shipment was supposedly coming in. Waited around until 1:15pm came around and the guy running the stock room in the back tells me and a group of people that the employee who told us to wait was new and made false promises.

I hope he gets fired.

To pour salt on my wound, I didn't even think about calling the BestBuy 10 minutes from my house until after the Target fiasco. I ask if any Wii's are in stock and the answer is "We just sold out the last one a few minutes ago, we had 11 of them"

I haven't heard a single person say they found a Wii at a Target today. There were lots on Wednesday & Thursday. Honestly, I haven't heard about anyone getting one at Best Buy either. Seems pretty quiet today.

I've hit Target, BB, and CC each 3 times today. No Wiis but I did run across one Wiimote, one nunchuck, and one PS3. The last time at Target, they had just finished putting out the stock. The girl said no Wiis today, but they did get them yesterday. Around 1 does appear to be the time for Target's shipments.

Both BestBuy'sI called said they just sold out with the shipment they got today.

Target's I called all said they didn't get a shipment today but to call back tomorrow since their shipments come during the night when the store is closed.

I'm hoping that itrackr comes through for me with regards to Target. I guess that I'll plan on lurking around TRU and BB waiting for trucks and high-tail it over to Target if itrackr notifies me. The fact that these are being delivered by FedEx, UPS to the big stores really complicates things. Now you have to wait for all of these trucks to show up at these stores.

This whole process is so random!

That last bit is very helpful information. I wasn't sure about Target. The guy at my Target today said that he wouldn't know "until midday" whether they were getting any. I took that to mean he was waiting for FedEx or something. Maybe that's not the case. Guess that I'll be at Target bright and early again tomorrow!

Seems to be the big thing to do today.

-Went to GameStop this morning at 10:00 and asked and he said no stock and they arn't getting any shipments of anything today. So on my way out I see UPS pull in the parking lot and sure enough he went to GameStop. No Wii's supposedly but quite a few more PS3's to collect dust.

-Walmart is in the same complex, they told me no but to check back at 2pm today to try again. So at least he was semi-helpfull.

-Headed over to the other Walmart in town, nothing.

-Tried Target (11am) and was told that they got 26 in yesterday and sold out over a span of 6 hours (pissed me off because I called yesterday and they said no stock no shipments so I'm done calling places) She also told me they would get 8 more to come in at noon. Spend an hour sitting by the case at Target and finally some other guy asked me what I'm doing and I told him I was promised 8 Wiis were coming in. He called the back room.... no Wii's... the other girl made a false promise.

-Back over to Best Buy, was told to try again next Tue or Wed... don't even bother this Sunday.

-The -other- gamestop in town.. nothing.

So yeah, been a hell of a fun day today with false hopes and promises. Going to try that Walmart again in an hour and after that give up untill Sunday.

Just got my component cables in the mail today though, yay!

I wish the iTrackr would track BestBuy stores. I would have been playing the Wii by now since I was up early enough to grab one from the store closest to my home.

I hate not thinking plans out...I so thought I was safe with Target today.

I think (emphasis on think) that stores get Wiis two ways currently:

#1: In nightly shipments to the store (target trucks for example)
#2: FedEx delivers some amount during the day
