Still on the Search for Wii?

What I've found is the times these stores give you for shipments is never accurate. It's a ballpark, and sometimes I think it's just to lure you into their store, hoping that you'll buy other merchandise.

My Target says nothing of shipping, have they given anyone a timeframe?

Anyone who told you FEDEX would be coming today (Saturday) was pulling your leg. FEDEX pulled Saturday delivery last year, they're only M-F. Though they may do things differently for businesses, but I wouldn't get my hopes up for a FEDEX truck on the weekend.

I didn't ask for the carrier. I have asked so many different companies that I started getting confused. I know eb/gamestop gets UPS. That is why I just put both down. At the Target in my city, they come around noon. This doesn't mean they unload them though. Sometimes it takes them until 3pm to get them out on the shelves.

Whats up guys. I just wanna say thanks. I've been reading alot of your posts and they have really been helpful.

I haven't gotten a Wii but I am not going to give up. Good luck to all searching for a Wii.

Oh and I have a question, a few pages back someone said that if you call they are probably lying to you when they say "no". is that true?

It looks like no one is holding them until Sunday anymore. Best buy actually made space for them on their shelves, so I know they just put them out as they get them. Target has been doing the same thing. Toyrus got a shipment around 10am Yesterday and just put them on the shelves. The lady said they are no longer holding them and doing the voucher thing anymore. I'm not sure about Circuit City. They may still hold them. Well, Toysrus and Circuit City open at 10am. I'm going to try Circuit City first and then Toysrus. After that, I think I'm done for the day. There are too many people that shop on Saturday for me to have a chance.

No one can definitively answer that question. It probably just depends on the person more than the store. I have called EBGames and Target and they both tell you if they have them in stock. If you call Target, always ask to speak to someone in electronics. The lady up front has no idea. She has always just told me no.

I've called everywhere like crazy and everytime the person has said no.

I called Target this morning when they opened and the lady checked for me but they had none. And on the 27th the lady said they had some and then they sold out later.

Someone posted that I sohuld try going there around like 4PM or something, is that a good idea?

I'm from RI/MA area by the way if anyone wants to help me out.

Called Target at 8:30am and asked if they expect any Wii shipments today, they told me no, they do not expect them to come in today.

Hm...wondering if I should drop by anyway just to be safe...

Does anyone know if BestBuy's got new stock in?

It sucks because if Target or anywhere had them early this morning I could've gone because I would've had a ride then. But CC and BestBuy doesn't open until 10.

I could get a ride later today but I dunno if they would have them then

Went to the following stores within 10am - 10:30am:

BestBuy (line of people outside): No stock of Wii and not expecting any to come until next week.

Toys R Us: They gave some story about not getting stock until middle of January...so forget that place.

Target: No stock of Wii and they told me to not expect any to come in today.

I guess all hope is lost for today, I'll try again on Tuesday since the whole Sunday selling of them doesn't seem to be happening anymore.

I mean if they're all relatively close and you have the time then it really couldn't hurt. Who knows, you might get lucky like some people on this board. Just..if you find a place with 2 available...

Wow, sorry to hear that. I'm guessing that the situation will be the same today in Philly, considering that we're rather close. I wouldn't totally give up on TRU, I think what they meant is that they expect to have wii's in stock (meaning on the shelves) in mid January. I'm sure they'll still get them before them, but not in enough numbers to meet demand.

I'd still follow the itrackr today (though it still hasn't proven itself) and call around at midday to see what the brown trucks bought.

I'm actually hanging back this morning, but I'll head out in an hour or so for a quick check. I'll report back if I find or hear anything of interest.

By the by, check your Target circulars for game prices. There's a target around here that is selling a lot of good wii games for $34.99 this week.
