Don't have a Wii yet? Geez, try harder...If you really wanted it you'd have it by now.

I assume you mean Austin, TX? If so, that's all I've been hearing also. I'm going to check a few places tomorrow but am not holding my breath.

Also, here's a tip I haven't seen mentioned; many stores can look up stock on their computers both for their store and others in the area. I know BB and Target can do this, i expect pretty much anywhere can. If you hit BB when they open and they're out, have them check stock in other stores. They probably won't be able to hold one for you but if the store 5 miles away has a few, it's worth trying. I checked during my lunch hour a few days back at a BB and the store I was at was out but saw that a San Antonio store had 18 of them. Sorry to say, SA is WAY farther away than I could go, buy and get back to work in less than an hour. Shame.

If I come out empty handed tomorrow and Monday (likely) then i'll probably just wait until the middle of Jan to try again, I'll be out of town (and the country) for the second week so....

They do have them. You're just now getting them when they come.

I was thinking about camping outside my local Best Buy (Bailey's Crossroads in VA) hoping they'd have held some for Sunday.

stfu and leave the thread if you are just going to spew shit like this. this doesnt help anyone in anyway shape or form. that is the second comment you have left trying to provoke people just stop. it is frustrating enough going around all day and not being able to find a wii and when you start with shit like this it makes people more mad so shut up.

Another day of the Target, BB, CC, Kmart, GameStop rounds and another day of no luck.

One thing of interest that I've noticed is that all the stores around here got their wii shipments on the same day. Has anyone else noticed a similar thing for their cities?

Anyone heard this Wal-Mart rumor about them holding until Sunday (tomorrow 12/31)?

I found it on another forum, guy says his buddy who works at Wal-Mart was told not to put stock on the shelves until the next day.

I dunno about that though, unless they were lying the walmarts around town claim that they haven't received wii shipments since december 19.

Does anyone know for sure if this whole Wii's on Sunday at BestBuy is happening or not? From the phone calls I've made and clerks I've talked to at various BestBuys, none of them hinted at a Sunday special sale.

Does anyone have any real confirmation on tomorrow being the official "Wii Day"?

Best-Buy on Sunday will probably yield nothing.

So if any of you live in my area, and there's one wii bought, that'll be me

Which Target is using this method? Also, do you know if there are more tickets available?

I have a feeling you can't trust the pre-christmas reliability of the big box stores anymore. They don't have to worry as much about what shopping days are the most profitable so they just sell them when they get them, and they sell out in minutes.

I got mine at a local Gamestop, most of the smaller stores always seem to get shipments from 10am to 2pm. Most of the UPS/FedEx trucks have the same routes every day and probably arrive at the stores at the same time every day. So if you can find a nice employee at one of these stores(that's the hard part) you can probly get all the info you need to make buying one easier.

So do you think I should just go to my gamestop at like 10-2, as a best bet

or my local walmart on tuesday? I want to have at least 3 or 4 days before the next semester starts...IN case u havent noticed im in NY

My local CC, Target, Walmart, and BB don't know when they are receiving more Wii's in, but they told me to try next week. Also, My EB Games and Gamestop say they receive Wii's every week and receive the shipment in the morning or early afternoon.

I love going to Best Buys, Targets, TRUs, Walmarts, EBGames, and Gamestops seeing people desperately asking when the next Wii shipment is knowing that I have a Wii set up in my family room
