I have been following this forum for a few days and finally thought I would post. I have been looking for a Wii since it was released. I've had my share of close calls and missed opportunities. Last Friday I made my usual rounds at 8:00 a.m. and low and behold Target had 12 Wii just stacked sitting in the electronics department. Of course I got one. I called a friend of mine to give her the tip and she missed them by 2 minutes.

Here's where it gets interesting. I'm in the same store at about 2:00 that same day and of course no Wiis to be seen. We're in there about 20 minutes and as we leave, I take another glance at the display cabinet and there is one Wii sitting in there. My wife snaps that one up to give to our friend that missed it that morning. I had been using WiiSeeker but that was really no help to me. I guess it just goes to show timeing is everything!! An no by the way, I did not buy a Lottery ticket that day!!

thats tight if i dont get one tuesday, im gonna start goin right after school and soccer practice and im just gonna go to target and walmart and best buy every day until i get one.

It was 12/29 and the Target is in the Modesto, Ca area. Riverbank Target to be exact if you know the area.

Nope, there was 20 people waited before bestbuy open and no wii. and bestbuy said they do no know when they will get any. and according to the manager, the wii is randomly assigned to bestbuy, ebgames every weekend etc. so good luck

Well this week seems to be it for the majority of us that want it real bad. You have to remember this week starts the new year and work week for a lot of people (read: parents).

College students will be around but most have jobs. I will probably hit the target and other stores as they are are a 5 minute drive from my workplace whenever I get the chance. I would say do whatever you can to be at your respective target/best buy whenever you feel they'll have shipments.

For those of you who can't get the wii buzz out of the air, call your stores, write down their exact shipment times, or at least approximations, (Post them here

and hit up the store at shipment time. I know I work until 10ish then I get a lunch break (that's what happens when you intern in a school district) so I can probably snag one on Wednesday if the trucks come in on Tuesday as they should.

This is a good week for wiichat users. I have faith that the last 20 of us or so posting on the last 20 or so pages will be successful. Happy New Year to all of you.

Anyone else in the Central New York (Utica, New Hartford, Rome) I'll keep you posted on what I know.

You should Nintendo World. I heard that place gives some every once in a while but i dont live there.

What kind of shipments? Walmart truck shipments, or FedEx/UPS? Keep in mind that Wiis are coming in via UPS/FedEx 99% of the time.

Target usually puts their stuff out 10 am -12 pm, if they don't get their stuff during the night.

It means that the wii usually ships by fedex or ups

if they have their trucks come in from their warehouse it won't have wiis
