I'd also like to point out that calling your local stores is a very poor idea.
#1: These stores get hundreds of of these calls, which must be obnoxious. #2: Unless you are talking to the general manager, there have been many posts in this thread that indicate that your common retail person doesn't have a good idea WTF is going on. For example, at my local Best Buy I asked the same question (regarding Wii delivery method/times) to 3 different people, of which I got three completely different answers. EDIT: The best alternative to calling is actually visiting stores as frequently as possible. The current search for a Wii is all good luck at this point. There isn't a science to it. -Merc |

Again, I have to disagree. One point I left out of my last point is that some stores have instructed their employees to lie about stock of Wiis. Someone who worked at Target posted this information a couple of days ago on this thread.

phoning stores is only extremely useful when you're going to camp out or something, and you just need to know if they're getting/got stock in
by the time you phone most of these stores, and they say they have it in stock, they'll be sold out not to mention that a lot of the employees have conflicting info |

I have finally decided that I would forget about Bestbuy because thats like 5 miles from my house. (I drive and I don't want to use that much gas) So I think I will just call EBgames until Tuesday and if they don't have them my mom said she would go to Target on Wed.
The guy at my local Target said that their truck was in a snow storm and couldn't make it, but he said they get shipments on Tuesday and put them out for Wednesday. |
