I live in Florida and I was told (a few days ago) by someone who works at the Wal-Mart that they HAVE the Wii's in the back but aren't stocking them until Dec.1 because that's what they'll be putting in their advertisment. He said that he hasn't told many people that (uh-huh, suuure) but, still, I was pretty excited until I called earlier today and talked to another guy and he was like: "I don't know who told you that but we don't have any and won't until the 6th"


UG! What to believe?!?! I think it's still worth a shot to go up there though...

That was posted before. But yea, that's understood for Walmart. But [BUT] I've been on the phone with corporate and the local Target (which is all I got other than stupid gamestop...) and they said that when they get it, they put it up right away. I'm really hoping that UPS is either distributing them tonight or tomorrow morning such that either tonight or tomorrow morning they will have them. I am going to be all up (annoyingly) in my local Target's face trying to see when they put them up.

You won't believe all the calls I've made to UPS and Target. I feel like I'm being obsessive. lol, what do yall think?

I got good news To every one looking for a wii I called three targets they said they are gettin dem on saturday and on the shelf on sunday heres the good news they will have close to over 132 in stock! i arryving a 5

I think if anyone has posted in this thread is probably right there with ya! Each morning I call to every store that would have the Wii and it seems the general consensus is this weekend. Whoo Hoo!!

New to this site, hello.

So I work with UPS every morning for our deliveries at my store in the mall. So I have the info on the date and hour that they deliver to EB. Not only that, but the UPS guy is holding off on delivering to EB till my shift is over! Good to have friends.

As for the info: All EB/Gamestops are getting them in "before the weekend" sais the manager. I'm sure this was posted before me, but I got lazy with clicking and reading this thread sorry.

They may be arriving before the weekend, but has your manager verified whether they'd be for sale right away, or if they are being held for Sunday?

When I talked to the manager at EB/GameStop she said they will put them up right away. Again, this is in Florida... dunno if it applies to all locations. She also said they'll be getting them in before the weekend.

The EB Games guy just rudely said NO to both questions I asked, it was really odd.

so it seems if you want a wii this weeknd go to best buy, walmart, tatget,and eb games each day early.

Yea, they put them up immediately. As for going early, no point since UPS shipping could be later in the day, depends on their route.

I have $150 in store credit and my ass is poor as hell to begin with so im stuck getting one at EB. Since UPS is on my side though (perks, yay!!!) I should be fine. If anyone is in the providence, RI area let me know and ill PM you the hour that UPS is going to be arriving at EB tomorrow.

i will i have best buy which will probably have them back up on sunday . gettin there at 5AM with my mcdonalds mcgriddles! And thers alwasy ebgames/gamestop/target/2 k-marts/sams club/ and probobly others i cant think of.

hell yeah im gonna be at best buy probably earlier then that since most people are saying 5 lol.

I respect the enthusiasm, but I believe that not every Target is the same with respect to #'s.

Also, I hope my personal hopes are correct, for I will be 2 hours before opening tomorrow waiting @ my local Target

i just called my local walmart (st louis) and got confirmed that theyll have wiis on dec 6th on a first come first served basis. i guess they have some right now, but cant sell them.

another interesting call: the local best buy had a guy on the phone who was really helpful:

-1. he said a lot of people working there at bb just wont be willing to share any information, thats when you get the "nope" answers.
-2. shipments dont come with the regular bb trucks, but with ups. thats why hours differ. most of the times around 11am
-3. they might be holding them back for sunday so that everyone can get one sunday morning
-4. last 2 shipments were 63 and 43 wiis.
-5. ask if shipment with ups already came in, dont ask for wiis directly
