Still on the Search for Wii?

Hey, 3,000th post!

I'm going to the Nintendo World Store tomorrow. What are my chances of coming back with a Wii?

I don't trust itrackr status when the inventory hasn't been updated in the while. And of course I don't trust it for GameStop and EBGames. But I am inclined to believe it when it says that a Target has just gotten wii's. I've checked up on it's reliability with regards to PS3 status at Target and it seems to be pretty good. In short, I don't trust the "In Stock" to "Not In Stock" transition, but I do believe it when "Not In Stock" becomes "In Stock".

Depends what time you're going. If you're in line before 6:00 am, then I'd say your chances are pretty good.

I would trust it ok for GameStop and EBGames but to an extent. I signed up for it after my last target shipment so I cannot vouch for them but on friday night a gamestop near me got 3 in and were ready to sell in the morning. When I got up I had an e-mail saying they had them instock so I called and sure enough they did, however I could not get there in time to get one. The problem with stores like that though is that people are at the store waiting for them to come in each day. At least it is like that here in my part of South Carolina. You can possibly get lucky and I almost did if a random shipment comes in late like that. Otherwise they will be gone in minutes and it doesn't matter how fast itrackr updates, if you are not there you do not get one.

6 AM? I would've thought that they would get more than that.

From what I've heard, they usually have about 70 or so a day and that the line forms pretty early. Again from what I've heard, getting there around 6:00 am pretty much guarantees you a wii.

Let us know how Nintendo World works out for you, 'cuz I'll be there Saturday morning if I can't come up with one around here this week.

You guys are so lucky you have Nintendo World when us people have to search like every store and they only get in like 3 or they just dont get any. lol.

go around like 12 and tell them to check there computer for there shipments and ask them when they are gonna shelve them.

A friend that I work with was one of those ebay mofos...he went downtown to keep his brother company while he was waiting online at nintendo world, and ended up getting one too - only to sell it on ebay for some rediculas amount of money. Needless to say I was really po'd cause I refused to buy off ebay. I know the guy bought it to make a profit, but I would rather have given him an extra 50 bucks or whatever to get a brand new wii from someone I knew and have it BEFORE christmas, than some greedy profiteer on ebay. I really chewed my friend's ear out in the office when I found out what he was doing, he was rather aprehensive to approach me afterwards, especially since I said I wouldn't do anything till I got a wii. lol. keep in mind i'm a 23 year old girl, so a lot of young guys i work with don't want to hear a girl complain or bitch at them. However, I've been a loyal nintendo gamer since I was like 6 or 7...so...don't let the skirt fool you! I'm hardcore! lol.

itrackr worked for me last thursday. they told me the target has stock and I ran there and I got my wii. it surely works.

thats what they say be like can you check your computer to see your next shipping at leat for them or your jsut next shipping period and you will get them on that one.

I'm planning to go to the Nintendo World Store on Friday. Is it confirmed that they definitely get 70+ shipments a day? That seems insane, but I can't wait to get one.

Well, i know im going for walmart first thing tomorrow, opens at 7, then target, opens at 8, then then i enlisted the help of my mom to go to TRU, BB and target in one area, while i go to BB in another. BB and TRU open at 10 for me.

I guess tomorrow starts the day where we will really start to see our efforts pay off, so good luck everybody.
