Sure a few get lucky by walking in a picking up a Wii now.

Rventually everyone will get one, GOOD LUck till then

Here's the iTrackr test. I just got a text that a Gamestop got the Wii in stock... dunno if it's delayed or not but I'm heading that way regardless so I'm definitely going to drop in.

I recieved 250 dollars in best buy gift certificates in order to buy a wii. Apprently
that was not necessarily the best idea. I went into a best buy yesterday and asked when they though they would be getting wiis in stock. The guy said "Ha! here?" and just walked away. ::sigh::

Is anybody going to try Target at open? I haven't heard of someone getting one when opened since before Christmas when they were handing out vouchers. I keep telling myself to go, but I've been turned down so much it is hard to make the drive, especially since all the other stores open at 10am. I have to wait a long time before going to another location.

I was told by one of the Target employees that they receive everything on regular freight. I'll be there at open this week, because wiiseeker says they will be getting wii's 1/3 - 1/8.

iTrackr is pretty accurate for the Targets. Thats how I first found the Targets in my area had some in stock. I called them to make sure, and sure enough some had 8, some had 21.

itrackr is saying not in stock, but I'm going to go get breakfast right now anyways. I won't be there at 8am, but I should still get there no later than 8:15am. I think my best bet will be Toysrus today.

Where: East Hanover, NJ
When: 8:02 AM
Number of Wiis in stock: 0

Salesman said he did not know when they would get them again, but mentionned that they have not had any Wii deliveries in a while so they're "bound to get some soon." His words , not mine.
He also pointed out an obvious, yet sometimes overlooked detail: NJ state law mandates that IF a store advertises a product for sale (such as Weekly Sunday ads,fliers, etc) they HAVE TO have at least one in stock on the day of sale.

...for what it's worth.

PS:
They had (and probably still do) 3 PS3 behind the glass.....

Hmmm... I wonder if Florida has a similar law. Kmart advertised Wii's one Sunday and had none. Some people waited 3hrs for one. Well, I wouldn't go to Target at open for those of you in western time zones. No luck here...

Well, even if this is in fact true, there's no chance of "it" happening.
Why?
Limited supply, in short. Why would any store put themselves "on the line" and in essence promise they'll have something which they can hold for more than 10 minutes. Worse - they don't even know when and how many they get. I'm sure this works from the legal point of view, but it's easy to see figure out why no store has a "Wii" in their Weekly Flyer.

PS:
Called 2 Gamestop stores (central NJ). Both out of stock; both said they get deliveries daily.........both have NO idea if/when they will get them.
PSS:
Does Itrackr work at all? Has anyone bought a Wii that way?

I tried the Target nearest my house, Sugar Land (TX), and they had none. The guy there told me they hadn't had any and to check back tomorrow or the next day, then said they hadn't had any since Friday, so Friday was probably best.

I called the next closest one, Rosenberg, and the operator there told me that they didn't have any but to call back tomorrow morning. She said "I can't guarantee it, but I would definitely call back tomorrow morning". So maybe she knows something I don't know, heh.

The next closest , Mo City, said they didn't have any and didn't know when they would get some, she sounded rehearsed.

2 Best Buys- None, guy said they expect once a week shipments and to check back in a couple of days between 10-3.

Target(Dadeland Miami)- None.
Today was the last day i am gonna go check, now im resorting to calling.

P.S.- There was a FEDEX truck, but there are many stores in that little center, and Best Buy said they get theres UPS.
