That sucks. Your lunch hour should have been prime DHL delivery time. Have you asked your TRU when they usually come?

The box that my wii was delivered in did not have a mailing label from Nintendo (headquartered out west, of course). It sounds like a lot of the cities on the east coast got them yesterday and Texas seemed to be pretty big today. So I'm guessing they're moving their way westwards. When did stores around you get shipments last week?

yea my bad... the guy i was talking about lived in florida for some reason i thought california... us midwesterners are all messed up lol ... so fingers crossed for east to west...that guy was talking about best buy (florida) none in best buys here in chicago today so if trend is right we should see them before you guys in Cali sorry to dissapoint but BB doesnt sound likely tomorow for you guys assuming this trend is correct i should see them before you

Oh and I think that getting an itrackr alert is TOTALLY grounds for skipping class! I'll write your principal a note if you need one.

Oh and for the record another WII:1 PS3:0 situation... bestbuy.com is now selling playstation 3's for delivery within the week. Lets you know that your system is the one to get if its already possible to get one of these 600 dollar behemoths. A little saddening though as i am still videogame-less

yea the holiday sales totals are as follows: XBOX 360: 2 million units, Wii: 1.8 million units, PS3: 750,000 units...... wii wouldve beat 360 if more were available.

i see the comparison between ps3 and wii (BooYA ) but the 360 inclusion in your comparison is a little unfair as it has been out for a year it doesnt get the initial buying frenzy like the other two. Interesting facts none the less thanks.

I'll try, but where are you located?
Okay, nevermind, I guess this is just a different forum altogether. Is there a particular thread where you discuss wii hunting?

For my TRU the deliveries come right around 11:00, but that's not necessarily the same for yours. I suggest you look into itrackr.com for the Target situation as well.
Good luck!

I completely take back everything negative I said about itrackr. It is AWESOME. I signed up for itrackr and it showed Wiis as available at my local Target (in Chicago). I called and they said they didn't have any. I then posted my negative review of itrackr. I thought better of it and decided to call Target one more time. This time I asked to speak with a manager and he walked over to the case and saw that they had five Wiis!! I literally ran to my car and got there in time to pick one up. I love it already. My advice is to sign up for itrackr (it's definitely worth the $2) and then go to the store or at least ask to speak with a manager. I have been calling Targets for weeks and they always say they're out, without even checking.

OK get this:
I called target here in saginaw, michigan today at jan 3. I talked to an employee, I asked any wiis, she said no.
Then I asked when she gets UPS deliveries, she said there getting one thursday night, I asked can I come thursday night to check. Then she said well we get a shipment but we don't know if theres wii's on it so we cant predict. We hadnt had a wii since christmas. Then she told me, we stock overnight and then friday morning you should come, I told her that I have school if she could reserve one for me. She said if theres any wii's we can write down your name if you tell us beforehand and you can pick it up in no more than 24 hours. I said sure after school, and then I asked if she would be there on friday, but she worked night shift, then she said just call and an employee will hold one for you.
Again this is exactly what she said, I am not sure if there may be Wii's on the shipment but my Wii seeker says Jan 3-5 there is shipments in my are for target.
So thats my best bet, anyone think this is a good idea or will work?

Ohhhh. Now that explains why you had to go "back to school" so early. I was thinking, "what the heck kind of school district starts school on the 2nd?"
Well then, here's what you do....FIELD TRIP! To TRU..c'mon, the kids would LOVE you! Or to Target, so that they can pick out their school supplies...yeah, that's it.
