Hmm; so basically the next bets for chances are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Maybe Wednesday.
Depends my mother told me that they ship during night and morning for Walmart, so therefore theres a slight chance it might come at night and then i lost, but if morning. I have myself a wii. I really hope this works. And next week my search is finally over, thanks to this board it has been an adventure and much easier. thanks.

Two questions: 1). Which station would you leave from? 2). How far would your parents be able to drive you?

If not I can take the train to my grandmas...the train near her house leaves at 5:15 and gets there at like 5:30......so ill be really early. What do u guys think?

EARLY EARLY EARLY!! 7:50 will be way too late and you'd spend the next hour standing in line freaking out that you wouldn't get a wii (and might not). It's going to be warm tomorrow so I say get there early and chill. Remember to take a backpack and bring a book!
How will you get to Rockefeller from Penn Station? Cab?

Penn Station to Rock Ctr
Long-time lurker and watcher of this thread, frustrated Wii-seeker, first-time poster. I'll help the people who want directions to Nintendo World.
Don't take a cab for that short a distance. It's a short walk, the subway is cheaper and comes along every few minutes, and hiking through midtown Manhattan is a treat; as a life-long New Yorker, even I still get a kick out of it during a lunch break or if I'm early to work.
Penn Station is between 7th and 8th Avenues, its north edge at 33rd ST (it's under Madison Square Garden). Nintendo World is in Rockefeller Center, along 48th ST (I think!) at the corner of Rockefeller Plaza (crosswalk between 5th and 6th AV). (6th AV = Avenue of the Americas).
Walking there, just count the streets, very easy to get around midtown Manhattan; they're numbered. It's about a 15-to-20-minute leisurely (and scenic for city lovers!!) walk. I recommend going up 7th or 6th AV.
By subway, that's not hard, either. You can just walk along 34th Street to 6 AV (Herald Square) and take an uptown-or-Queens-bound B, D, F, or V train two stops to 47-50 ST/Rockefeller Center. Subway fare is $2, and you do it by purchasing a MetroCard, available in subway stations and at many stores along the streets (convenience stores, CVS/Eckerd/etc., delis).
Or you can ask friendly New Yorkers, we're a cool bunch and are very willing to help out!

Gah!! This is so much harder then I thought it would be. The Wii is incredibly so very difficult to get in stores.
Today my mom helped me out again by going around and checking stores while I was at school. And she checked a Walmart or a target I think, and they had gotten some yesterday!!!! My mom had the day off yesterday!!!! Gaaarrr!!! She also checked about 5 other stores and got some interesting stories from the people who work there.
Whenever a store gets them in stock, they melt off the shelves faster then butter in hell!
I feel like the only way to get one would be to camp out at a store until they get a delivery.
I'm not going to get it until March at this rate.

My own adventures:
We got into serious Wii-searching a bit late, making the mistake of waiting until close to Christmas to go all-out. We went away for a few days (for vacation, not solely for Wii hunting...we're crazy, but not stupid haha)...Tried a few Targets and Wal-Marts (one in eastern Tennessee, one in Maryland, one in NJ) on the way home. That's right, our search radius extends about 750 miles. All with no luck whatsoever.
For a few days this week, wii've gone around visiting and calling Target, Wal-Mart, Toys-R-Us, GameStop, Circuit City, Best Buy, and Sears (I think that's all), throughout Queens and Nassau, with no luck. Usually around opening time. We'd miss shipments by a day occasionally, and often get the "we don't have any, and we don't know when." Some were nicer than others. We've tended to visit at or soon after open, and then make calling rounds mid-day (between noon and 2 usually).
My favorite not-so-nice was one staffer in a local Target's electronics dept.: "NO....I don't know...We don't know....I don't have any. OK??? [click!]" I'm still laughing about that one, it sounded so funny. However, one staffer later that day in the same store was among the nicest I've spoken to. It balanced out.
Anyway, I've found that we've got some Targets around here that seem to be dead on iTrackr; they don't update. GameStop on iTrackr is the usual story; uncertainty and inaccuracy. Newcomer Circuit City's accuracy is TBD. I guess getting there at open doesn't really work around here unless you KNOW it's coming. Still not sure about the mid-day shipping patterns. It seems to be very random around here, and there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it.
Any tips for our neck of the woods? Are we going about it the right way?

everywhere i go, i hear everyone asking about wii. there is so much competition in la. grandmas, moms, kids. and there is never a guarantee around here that anywhere will have them in stock. its like searching for a needle in a haystack.. with thousands of other ppl searching for that same needle

Haha that's definitely an option. If they're getting 100-250 EVERY DAY (can someone confirm this??), it seems to be maybe the best bet.
What a subtle hint, huh? Well maybe just a bit more obvious than something cryptic like, I dunno, "Oh I see a building, a fanboy's paradise, near a tall tree. A tree that glows when night falls. You shall go there."

There is no way I'll be able to get to the city, but for you Long Islanders I found out that gamestops at Roosevelt field mall get their UPS shipments at around 2:45-3:15 during the week.

Is the limit 1pp? I'm just wondering if some of wiichatter's who are near NYC could grab one for themselves and someone else on the board?

yes it is one pp. It's funny because I saw some 11 year old walk in, get one, walk out and sell it to some older guy.

Hey SoCute. Here's my story. I got there at a little past 6. By the time 8 rolled around there were about 100 people in line, but you have to understand that they get at LEAST 100 wii's a day. I have a very good feeling that most of the people in that line got one. Of course, the earlier you get there the better. But the fact is if you get there by 730 you are practically guaranteed a wii. On weekdays at least, not sure about saturdays. The line may look bad, but don't panic. The store attendant confidently told me that they get anywhere from 100-250 per DAY. Good luck! I hope you get your hands on one =).
God bless.
