Is there ANY place besides some online auction I can get one? ayy kmart is a no-go in wilmington b/c they dont carry any kind of game consoles...

actually they got two in about a week ago at kmart that i missed by an hour they had them sitting there all day

so about my question before... do i have a better chance right at opening, or lunchtime? i think the wii's are coming on the big trucks now, so does that mean they'll get them in the morning?

they are still only being delivered by UPS/FedEx/DHL

they haven't been shipped by the trucks yet there isnt enough production to do that...from what i've heard

The jan 15 rumor may have some merit, it may be like a special martin luther kind day sale. They will probably have a flyer, ps3seeker hasnt been wrong(other than dec 31, which they said maybe). I hope they have them then b/c i start school soon.

i think there is something wrong with the electronic stores around me. they are really ghetto and dont get anything..ive read a few socal pickups but i havent even come CLOSE yet. My only hope is this weekend...then im goin bak to school in san diego...

I got my wii a couple days ago at walmart my mom called them and they were like you have to come in we cant tell you and she went and there were three boxes of them which equals 12 of them because there are 4 to a box. So my moms bf got the first one around 12ish. So go to walmart tomorrow thought all next week around 12ish.

unbelievable....i was messing around with my itrackr. I punched in 5-6 zip codes in LA area and NONE in stock or had been in stock. I look up a manhattan NY zipcode to punch in and i see a bunch of instock stores lit up! U guys from new york are lucky u have places that are actually receiving wiis! =(

San Diego is a preety good place to get Wii's. They receive shipments once a week if you search in the right places.

I'm getting a bit impatient with the stores near me. I plan on waiting 1 more week before attempting to buy the Wii on Ebay. Do you think this is a good idea, or should I wait more if I don't have it by then?

I have $536.16, enough for one at ebay. They go for about $340-$360, and $30 or so in shipping and handling.

Opinions please...

I've been looking at the Wii's on Ebay and although I really want to refrain from buying any Wii on Ebay, I've considered it multiple times. As of now, on iTrackr there are are anywhere from 7-24 people in my area tracking the stores near by and that's not even counting the people who are purely relying on manually going to iTrackr and seeing if the Wii has been in stock lately, so it's going to be horrifically competitive in my area to buy a Wii, which makes me wonder if getting a Wii from a store for the retail price is even a possibility in the coming days or weeks.

BTW, I live in the South Bay Area, CA. So since it's on the other side of the country, I won't be making any trips to the Nintendo World Store which makes Ebay a considerable option. *sigh*

It's called being lucky as heck. I just called my local Gamestop because I wanted a wii for a while and the dude said that they just 3 in at that very moment. It took me about 15 min. to get down there and there were still 2 left. I tried very hard to get a wii at Wal-Mart, Target, EB Games, Gamestop, etc. and it never did any good. Seriously, it's based entirely on luck at the moment. I guarantee you that there will be a day when wii's will sit on store shelves (probably about Jan. 20th I'd guess :P).
