I'm tellin you all, those friggin Replacement Plans are money for consoles shipped in the first 6 months (if not the first year). Personally, I'd rather pay $40 extra at Best Buy and wait a bit longer than to buy one at Target now, and learn a $250 lesson a year from now.

I would never buy a replacement plan on a Nintendo product. Ive had pretty much every Nintendo system they have ever put out, and I have never had a problem with any of them. Nintendo makes their products solid as rocks, plain and simple. The same cant be said about Sony or Microsoft.
Oh, and the situation in the Midwest is getting pretty frustrating. Either Itrackr is a load of crap (which is what im leaning towards), or my Target hasnt recieved a wii in 10 days and my Gamestops/Ebgames almost 3 weeks now.

My Target (Philly) hasn't received a shipment in 14days. It's entirely possible. Disgusting, but possible. itrackr is working though, because it picks up shipments of remotes and nunchuks, just no wiis.

Lady, try non traditional stores, although I got mine at BB in Hadley Mass, I know that BJ's in Grlfd Mass, had 10 the friday before christmas and they lasted from 8am until 10pm, the store manager told me that they had them but no one asked and nobody thought of them, she was real nice and was willing to tell the truth on the phone.

Don't suppose you'd know of any in the Central Mass area, now would ya?
Right now I'm hoping on a small electronics store up the street from me that carries mostly TVs and dryers, but sells consoles too. They haven't gotten a shipment in weeks though, and methinks I may have to beat the crowds to get one there, too.

Quick question for those of you that have itrackr working for Target. Has it normally updated with in stock units at night or midday or what? Im assuming since Wiis seem to be coming in UPS and stuff everywhere, the itrackr would be alerting people in the AM? Im really just curious if Target ever gets any overnight shipments, and if so, does itrackr alert you at odd times of the night?

Most of the people on this board who have had success locating a wii at Target with itrackr were updated around midday.

Wii has just shown up at my Target 2 mins ago.
This confirms our suspicions that shipments are now likely coming from company warehouses, rather than directly from Nintendo.
Check itrackr for your local Targets!!
This Target is the South Philly Target, last shipment 2 wks ago.
**Please keep spreading the word. Shipments from company warehouses mean that wii's will become available at store opening, rather than midday**
THE EAST COAST IS BACK!!

Kristi you've given me new hope. I still have that email set up incase i need to make the 8 oclock opening at target and go late to work. I might even have tomorrow off if my co-teacher is absent. It's illegal for me to teach when he isn't there.
Tomorrow let's hope!

Now that I think about it. The TRU had wii's at opening this morning since the store worker said that he had them at 10 and sold the last one out just a bit before I called.
I guess get there at opening now if you want a wii!
One of my old friends from high school works at target. He's on the quest too it seems. At this target apparently they do not have any special privileges, they just have to be on break to get one.
He said he could probably find out when they are getting them. More on this later!

Well i dont really live near the city, and my dad definitely wouldnt drive me all the way there.
it's pissing me off because every store i try, they make it seem as though they won't be getting any for months. like i see all these posts on people saying "walmart just got shipments" or something like that... meanwhile i try going to walmart before it opens and they dont have any and no one will even tell me if they get Wiis. meanwhile, i call every store in the area and they say they dont have any in stock, or they wont be getting any for a while.
i have no luck with this.

I've been reading this forum for a couple of weeks but have not posted yet and I just wanted to share my experience.
It seems that Wii's are very rare where I live in central Maryland. I live right in between Baltimore and DC so I have access to tons of retail stores but I have yet to find a Wii. I have tried going in the morning and I have tried going after UPS shipments but no luck. In fact, all the people I talk to say that they haven't even had shipments in a while and they don't know when they will get them in. The only place I had some luck in was at Walmart where I talked to a nice lady who said they got some in last Wednesday, but I have checked there every day when the UPS guy got there and nothing so far, but I'll probably check again tommorow.
Also, it appears Itrackr does not work for my area. Nothing has been updated in a long time and I thought maybe that is just because there has been no shipments. However, I just checked the stock for Wii remotes and it claims that 3 targets by me have had wii remotes in stock for the last 4 weeks since that was the last update. Obviously this is not true as I haven't seen any wii remotes or nunchucks anywhere.
Oh well, luckily I'm on break from college right now so I have time to keep hunting but I'm about to give up. I'm kind of hoping that this best buy rumor turns out true. I mainly wanted a Wii to kill time since I have all of January off, but it looks like I may give up soon and just buy one when summer starts in May.

Hey guys, I live in Seattle WA, and Wii's just showed up on itrackr for a couple targets up here! I bought one on e-bay last week other wise i'd be skipping classes tomorrow morning to get one. Looks like Targets are due nation wide, the delay from the last shipping date must be because the shipments are going to the Target warehouses (as Kristi1696 said) so it takes longer to be processed. Fred Meyer, out here atleast, had already started shipping in it's own trucks a week ago.
Mine will be coming in the mail this wednesday
also gibsonrocker800, so far as I know no retail stores know for sure when they are receiving shipments, and if somebody does it may be hard for that knowledge to trickledown the chain to the face in the department. Only thing you can do it be as nice as possible to them and don't believe a word they say(unless they says they've got wii's in). The other week a woman told me Fred Meyer wouldn't be getting shipments till february, I checked the electronics department and they had a wiimote in, and have since had wii's.
