Oh, and the situation in the Midwest is getting pretty frustrating. Either Itrackr is a load of crap (which is what im leaning towards), or my Target hasnt recieved a wii in 10 days and my Gamestops/Ebgames almost 3 weeks now.

With a BB product replacement plan you can exchange you current Wii with the new dvd capable one when it comes out and if you wait a bit, can probably get some money back when the price drops.

Bank on them lying, my experience before Christmas was, once a week I stopped by BJ's and asked them if the were gettign any .. the response was no, not until after christmas, the third week the were getting pissed at me for asked, the forth week I came in and asked, r u getting any wii's - the response was oh, ya we got them last friday (two fridays before xmas) they were here all day (last one sold at 9:45 pm) wtf

Employees were allowed to buy them after 9pm and they got them all (but they were on the shelves) I made a complaint to the manager and she told me that they got an email telling the not to tell people when they come out so there would be no lines

Make friends with the manager and keep working them

WOW! The new PS3 controler won an Emmy for technology and engineering.
I guess the people who give away Emmys dont really give a crap if people know that its actually an award thats SOLD.
I mean... the new PS3 controlers are the same piece of crap the PS1 and PS2 controlers were. They added motion sensing and bluetooth - at the expence of force feedback. How can that possibly get an award when the wii controlers exist? The XBox put in bluetooth first, and wii put motion sensing first, erm... MUCH BETTER motion sensing that is...

Seriously, what a bunch of b*ll*x... Both the xbox's controler and the wii's controler are much more inovative than ps3's.

Anyway's... let's all continue our hunt for Wiis!

This is for Wii's coming out in Japan. It may take another year or two until North America gets it.

I really think they should make an option where it can be downloaded (if at all possible) and charge ppl for it. Purchasing a new wii would upset many, many, consumers.

Those Replacement Plans are friggin invaluable for first year systems, it doesn't matter if it's Nintendo, Sony, or Microsoft.

Chalk up 2 PS2s, 1 Xbox, and many numerous other electronics (including an N64, and an ex-girlfriend's gamecube) to having been replaced by them.

You all with money can go ahead and buy new ones if you want, but personally, I'd much rather pay the $40, and if nothing else "create" a problem after a year and a half, just to get a new system. I've seen plenty of problems with the system already on this website...not to say that that's an indicator, but I'll not be taking my chances.

Any person that's ever worked at Best Buy (including me) will tell you that those things are WELL worth the cost.

Got my Wii!!!! Here's some info in case anyone in Nova needs Wii finding help.

Fairlakes TRU, gets them on Tuesdays around 11 o'clock by DHL. I believe they got 6 in, 3 of which were bought once I left. Be warned though, they made me buy the extended protedtion plan for 39.99.

Now i just have to wait for all the updates to finish

THE EAST COAST IS BACK!!

I received an itrackr alert for a Target in NJ as well, so the East Coast is definitely getting shipments. I also received an alert a little while later saying that it had gone out of stock at that Target, which was nice to know.

It looks like only one Target in Philly and one near me in NJ gots shipments, so it is definitely scattered. I would recommend checking as many zipcodes in itrackr as possible. Set up multiple itrackr accounts with various nearby zipcodes (to cover all Targets within a reasonable distance) and check them around 6-7am so that you can get to Target by the 8 am opening.

Congratulations! My wii was also delivered to TRU by DHL at 11:00. I've had it one week today! Yeah, the updates take forever!! Did you get any games? I can sum up my recent absence from the board in one word...Zelda.

So I just checked my itrackr(in columbus, oh), and it says Ebgames is in stock they've been in stock for 7 hours. When I called, however, he said they didn't have any, but I should check back later...should I go or not?

EBgames on itrackr is spotty at best. I would only consider going if:

#1: I got the alert over night, and then I would show up first thing when they open.

#2: I got the alert in mid-afternoon and was able to immediately go down.
