went to tru this morning waited for both ups and dhl to come
guy told me they dont get wiis thru ups
dhl came with an envelope which was obviously not a wii...
i guess ill wait till the 15th

I finally got a wii!!!! I just want to thank you guys for all your posts and everything, and all the help I got from up. I will continue updating stuff I know around Long Island New York area.

i guess you guys were right about omni trying to make a profit on Wiis and Wiis accessories. Those who pay 60 for a wiimote are idiots.

Got a nintendo wii From gamestop at the Merrick Commons which is on the south shore of long island in Nassau County. This store has been getting wiis every week on tuesday between 12-12:30 in the afternoon.

lucky them.....

most shops get their stock around wednesday (mostly tuesday i think)...
so dont waste your time checking at weekends that much.

Still need a Wii. I'm even having annoying nightmares about scoring a Wii. Why is So Cal Targets getting all the Wiis? Argh. Send some to the SF Bay Area.

Wii-yip-hooray! I got my Wii today from the Target in Exton, PA after I received an itrackr alert around 10pm last night that they were in stock. They had about 15 on display, but the manager said that there were plenty in the "back". I got there around 7:40am and was the only one there until 3 other guys showed up around 7:55am for the 8am opening. One guy wanted to buy 3 Wii and got into an argument with the manager ("One per person"). Of course, he didn't get 3 (not even 2). I just got mine and left.

Interesting enough, there was a dedicated security guard protecting the Wii display. Never seen that before.

I had only the chance to setup the Wii, to apply the update and play around with the Mii Channel, but even that has been fun beyond belief. And that comes from one who doesn't get impressed easily.

Congratulations Sprocket, I'm happy for you. I hope that I can find one in stock soon, every day, 3-4 times I'm calling at least 15 places.. My mom is even helping me now. :P

Hang in there Bryan. The BEST tip right now is to sign up for itrackr and watch the Target alerts, like so many others have reported in here. Everything else is pure luck (EB, WalMart, CC, BB, TRU). As soon as you get the alert, get there in the morning or have someone else go for you.

Yeah. Target appears to be getting them on regular trucks over the last week. The west coast was last week & this weekend. NJ & PA are reporting today for them. Here in New England, I'm praying for an itrackr alert overnight tonight!!!

I'm happy for all of those who recieved their Wii's today but no luck for me

I went to Wal-Mart and they were opening up some boxes but no Wii in sight so I stopped over by GameStop and asked they guy if they were expecting any Wii's sometime soon but they recieved 3 Wii's at a quarter to 12 so they probably won't be getting any until next week. I stopped over at Target and no luck there but I did see a few Wii Remotes, probably around 20 or so. iTrakr apparantly doesn't work for me since it didn't show the GameStop I went to had some Wii's earlier this afternoon and didn't show that Target had some Wii Remotes.

I feel you. Itrackr doesn't work with any of the Targets because I haven't seen it go off since the past 2 weeks while everyone is scoring one left and right at other Targets. I also check midday and never see a Wii box anywhere. Its all just a matter of luck right now. I'm hoping that BB Jan 15th. rumor is true.

Don't get discouraged. Itrackr DOES work, and is really accurate for target. The problem is that much of the country hasn't been getting Wiis for the last couple of weeks, so there is nothing for itrackr to report!

If I were you, I would go wait at EB and Gamestop at Valley Fair mall between 12 to 2pm. They get huge shipments of 50+ every other day. I got mine there and I've seem other times during lunch time where they had shipments come in.

Just another Itrackr praise, the Target in my area hadn't updated in about 2 weeks, but last night it updated around 11 PM for a shipment that they had for sale this morning. They lasted till about 10:30 AM, so they went quickly but as long as you get there early it is almost guaranteed. Keep the search up, and be patient for itrackr to kick in, and when it does act fast!

GameStop in Lake Success NY!! Got it, they had a UPS shipment of 6 (they expected maybe 9? Not sure if they got the rest). It came a little after 11, and I made it, there was a short line since soon before opening. We sat and waited and went fishing in the Zelda demo. No controllers today.

Apparently TRU in Carle Place got about 150 of them a little before 11. At least that's what the guy at GameStop said when he got a phone call.

It looks like a big week this week, and I riily riily hope yii all get your Wii! Thanks to all for the tips!
