I have heard from several different best Buy that they will have some in stock end of next week. Not sure how true though.

Yeah, I heard "on or around the 19th". The two BBs closest to me are supposed to get 51 and 36. But can I wait another week+?

Just got back from TRU and no luck. Lady said they had some yesterday and to keep checking since they don't know when they get em. For those of you who had luck picking up a Wii at TRU, when's a good time to go?
Thanks.

itrackr told me Circuit City in Natick MA had them in stock at 10:02am this morning. Just getting back now. They claimed they didn't have any. When I asked what UPS brought, they showed me two boxes in the corner & said neither were Wiis. I didn't have the time to stand around and wait, so I came back empty handed. Getting warmer I suppose....

I got my Wii too in NJ today. I have been thru all the posts in this thread but was too lazy to post I live in Staten Island but the target there never gets any wiis so I put in the edison's zip code into itracker yesterday night n saw that the targets at clark and menlo park .I also confirmed these findings with the "back door target thing"..so got up at 745 left staten island arnd 845 n was in clarke at 930 they got 36 wii in n after i got 1 i saw arnd 6 more left and I got a red steel with it
Another benefit of getting it at target is that u can get a target card and get a 10% off on ur whole purchase.
Then I drove too menlo park and got another 1 for my little bro there and got the discount there too. He is gonna love it. Anyways ppl still looking i suggest try changing ur zip code and keep looking
now the search starts for a Wiimote couldn't find any today at these places.

Did you check that link that someone posted before? The one from the CC website.
Here it is.

It would be interesting to know what it has to say about your CC. If they both say your CC has wii, I think those guys you talked to are full of shit and are saving them for someone.

toys r us in cary, nc got nine in this morning. i finally got mine. they had 1 more left as of 15 minutes ago.
thanks a lot to everyone who gave their input on this board. finally my search of a wii for three weeks has ended. itrackr was totally inaccurate for the stores in my area. i camped a bb one night, then held several two hour stake outs at tru and target and circuit city waiting for dhl, fedex, and ups. no luck. then i finally gave up on these methods and decided to just rely on the fickle honesty of the operators. so i called tru at 1145 this morning. said they had two left. asked if he could hold it for me until i got over there, just 15 minutes. he said sure. got there. bought it. im elated.

I didn't check that link...I was too busy hauling ass out the door. About noon I got the itrackr email telling me that the Wii was no longer in stock. Methinks that someone was stashing a Wii or two away for someone, but it isn't like I could prove it. I could have asked for the store manager, but I guess I'm too timid (or nice) or some crap, so I didn't bother. There was a Best Buy & TRU across the street, so I cut my losses and tore over there to check. No go there either.
The BB lady said to watch the fliers, as they are expecting a sale. I guess that somewhat confirms the allegations of a big BB sale sometime in the near future.

I've decided that I cannot.
There've been enough fan boys on here telling how Nintendo makes such an incredibly "rock solid" product, and while I only partially believe them, because I've seen Nintendo products go bad just the same as others....I've decided that a year and three months from now, hopefully I'll have a job that pays better...and if it breaks after 15 months, then I'll have the cash to replace it.
I'm just oh so very sick and tired of not only waiting for Best Buy to get a shipment in, but also not knowing when that shipment is going to be in, and also having to deal with many more gamers there than with Target, Comp USA, and Circuit City combined.

I just signed up for iTrackr about an hour ago and it said there was a Gamestop about 30 minutes away had some in-stock. I decided to call them and they said they were about to sell out. I was so mad. =( But I guess iTrackr works pretty well then.
What're some other methods that help scoring a Wii?

As of about 30 minutes ago the Toys R Us in Coon Rapids MN (just north of the Twin Cities proper) had 8 Wiis in stock - down by at least one now that my wife ran and snagged one for me. The rest of the work day is going to DRAG by.

Got my Wii a couple days ago, finally. I had called my local Gamestop twice during the day, once to ask if they had any stock and once again to ask when they expected a shipment. They didn't have any, and said they would be getting some within the next couple of days. So later I stopped at a restraunt next door to the Gamestop, and decided I'd drop by to ask what the wait was like on shipment days. The employee asked why, and I told him I planned on being there for a while waiting for one. He said, "Why wait? We've got one right now in the back." Err, what? So as it turns out, they lied over the phone~lol. Go confront someone...maybe you'll get what you're looking for!

Toys R Us got some today in Cary and Durham. Cary was sold out by 1pm, I picked up one from the Durham store 1:30.
So it looks like they are finally getting out there.
I doubt I will be coming back here now I have my Wii. Good luck to all you still looking and a big thank you for all those who posted all the links for information.

I finally found a Wii at East San Jose, CA Target.
ITrackr, phone call, and Target item locator all said they had Wii's in stock. Another San Jose Target had them too, but ran out of them while I was driving down there. Store was 30 miles away. I was stuck in horrible traffic and was dying sitting in the car thinking how stupid I was to drive all the way down there because they would probably be out of them by the time I got there.
Finally after sitting through two of the longest traffic signals in all of California, arrived at Target at 9:20 am found the electronics department, saw a security guard and was hopeful, continued on to the Wii shelf, and no Wii's. Of course, I thought, my @#$ luck continues. Then I went to the electronics register, where a clerk and the security guy were standing, and they had 5 or 6 Wii's left (out of 56). I thought for sure they were being held or that they were empty boxes. I couldn't believe it when they passed one over to me. This rather tired and desperate mother threw up her arms and signaled a touchdown. The men just gave me a rather bored look. Oh well, had to enjoy my moment.
I shouldn't give anyone any advise on finding a Wii, since I totally sucked at it. My kid finally gets his Christmas present 16 days later. Looser mother.
The California Targets are getting their shipments in overnight. Call them in the morning or check iTrackr, or the Target website in forum entry 4211.
Thanks everyone, good luck....

Has anyone gotten a Wii in Maryland yet? It seems like the entire state hasn't had any in a few weeks. I keep hearing of shipments for people in NJ and California and everywhere else but ever time I check places in MD there appears to be nothing. Also, my itrackr hasn't updated once since I signed up for it last week and its tracking 31 stores.

I finally got my Wii!!!! After searching and searching, I got the last one at EBGames. Guess my theory of their Wii shipments on Tues/Thurs was completely wrong. I only recently joined this forum but have been reading it for awhile now and I want to thank everyone on here for all the tips...every single one helped. You guys kept my hopes up and I finall y got it. =) I have an iTrackr account paid for if anyone needs it, let me know and I'll gladly give it to you. I've never used Yahoo! Auctions before but found this item if anyone is interested. Just buyer beware though... http://auctions.yahoo.com/i::220095676
