so what is everyones take on the BB rumor on the 15th? personally im just gonna wait till the sunday paper to see, but has anyone heard anything else?

thank you so much. i was home today on my lunch break and checking on stuff like i have been every day (checking internet and calling some places) when i saw your post. it was only about 10 mins old at the time so i booked out of my apartment and drove to the toys r us by northtown, which is actually in blaine and got myself one. not sure if that was the one you were referring to, but i don't really care cause the one i went to had it. now just to find the extra controllers and a game my fiance wants to play and wii'll be set... sorry about the pun, i couldn't resist

The "callmenasty way" of seeing if Target has Wiis in stock worked like a charm for me. At 7:30 this morning I checked and the Target near me (Reading, PA) had them in stock. Drove there and waited with one other guy, walked in when the store opened and got me a Wii.

Now to find another nunchuk....

Dudes, after a month looking for a wii, loosing sleep over it and being cold as shit outside waiting for the damn ups trucks I finally got a wii today...
I guess you could call it my lucky day, I went to Eb this morning about 10:30 and just chilled there I asked the manager he said they might be getting 3 in and luckily I was ****ing number three. I sat there till noon when Ups came with a shitload of boxes, the ups guy dropped it off in the back and the manager came back seconds later and said yeah man we got them when I couldnt believe my ears, I actually got a wii after all this bullshit I went through and when I was least expecting it so all I gotta say is don't give up keep on the hunt for the wii , it'll come

also Itrackr send me email (i just saw this) saying that CC (va) had gotten some and sold out 1 hr later, irony ?

tips - TRU gets shipments tru dhl and not ups , they come between 10am-1pm.
rumor of bestbuys wii sale on the 15th
today the manager at eb games told me they wouldnt get anymore till next week, they got a shipment in yesterday with 3 and today with 3

I heard that Best Buy is supposed to get a shipment on Jan 15th. and Target is supposed to get 10+ on Jan 21... anyone know anything about this??

its prob going to be before the 15th if they are having their huge sale on the 15th, they are prob holding stock until then, or the 21?

just glad i could actually give some useful help on here. seems like not many people are having much luck and everything is random. anyway, last night around 10 my target showed up as available. so my mom drove down there at opening and they had nothing. she then called on her lunch hour and they said they sold out already! they didn't get them on the overnight truck, but got a UPS shipment at 9! not only am i pissed that it decided to come UPS, but i'm baffled that my little target trick knew that a UPS shipment was going to come the next day.

anyway, i hate school. It seems like theres been a crapload of shipments recently, but i have to go to school before any stores open. and my mom only has tuesdays off, so she can't go around looking.

I can definately say iTrackr is not as perfect as many have made it seem to be. Even as I type this, iTrackr is still saying that 1 Target (the one on Capitol in San Jose) has Wii's in stock, HOWEVER, the status symbol is saying that they've been in stock for more than 10 hours. Excited as I was, I still drove there and went up to the Electronics Department, asked if they had any Wii's and the guy at the counter was a real a$$hole, he had that tone like he just wanted us to get away from him. We asked him some questions, such as if they received a shipment this morning because iTrackr showed that at least 3 Targets in my area received Wii's, two of those Targets were rpoperly reporting that they were out of stock, the guy just said, "Oh, the computers make those mistakes all the time." and "We didn't receieve a shipment today, I was here in the morning." also, we didn't mention this but out of nowhere he says, "I'm telling you, if we had any Wii's we would place them on the shelves, NOT store them in the back. I know a lot of Targets have claimed (his words) that they receieved but the computers they always do this. We don't store them in the back, we put them on shelves." SO I can only assume many Wii Seekers also came by that same Target and requested that he look in the back. lol

Although he was a major a$$hole, I believe iTrackr was flawed in this case by saying that Target was in stock for more thena 10 hours, but I have a feeling that the same Target I went to receieved a shipment this morning.

everytime i try to talk to the person who works there (either in the store or on the phone) .. they are the biggest jerks. its like they get mad that so many people want wiis....

Well, you also have to take into consideration that they get the same exact phone calls, questions, and people showing up just about every day. And it's been that way for over a month. I feel bad for the employees because they have to deal with it. However, I don't feel it's a justified reason to be a complete dick. I've had PLENTY of dicks when I've called, believe me. I've even had some that just hang up. You can be annoyed with my question but still be polite about it. I work in a repetitive field and yeah, it sucks hearing the same thing day in and day out, but you need to suck it up and smile!

The thing is though, the employees really DON'T know when they get Wiis in or specific shipment times. I know when someone is lying to me, too. I know for certain a few of the people I've spoken with have lied, but, a majority sincerely don't know. Others just lie because they're holding them for someone else or themselves.

Just try and be polite, guys. Don't just call up or stop in and blurt out "DO YOU GUYS HAVE WIIS?"

A lot of the time, I would go into a place and say to an employee "I'm sure you guys hear this 100 times a day, and I'm sorry, but I was wondering if you had any Wiis in stock?"

Or my famous "This is going to be a really stupid question but did you guys get and Wiis in?"

I've had a few pissheads maybe 5 out of like 100 people I've spoken to in the last month and a half

ya, but remember they have to go thro this, i mean how would u feel after 3 months at least being asked if you guys had wiis? then also having to put up with people asking when you will get more, or when the launch date is. any of that. Altho being mean isnt exactly wanted, just remember they have to put up with being asked the same question numerous times every day for 8 hours a day 5 days a week for the last 3 months so that would mean... lets say they got asked 30 times a day that means an average of 30 days in a month we will say 10 weeks so 1500 times in 3 months, (n sorry for numbers lol not very accurate, did it fast so i rounded)
could u put up wit being asked if u had wiis by different people, rude and nice 1500 times in the last 3 months or so?

yeah that is a good point, but the thing is that... by asking them if they have wiis, we are showing that we want to give them business. but i mean id understand cuz i wouldnt wanna be asked the same thing so much, but i just would like it if they were a little nicer to me. almost every time, on the phone, the person hangs up on me.

ya, we all wish that, but hey, some people are always nice, when ever i call BB i get a nice, No sorry we are out of stock today. It is also just the person there. And at least i didnt get oh, hold please (waits on hold too long and starts dancing to music) only to find that they have no wiis. I spose some people are starting to ask ahead of time in the electronics department so its less people on hold.

I've never got a jackass employee yet. Some Gamestop guys just go "no" and hang up without letting me say "Okay, thanks." Whatever. >_>

yeah when i called a walmart, i asked to be transferred to the electronics department, and she said "looking for anything in particular?" and i said "yes, a nintendo Wii".... "OUT OF STOCK" lol...

but whatever, do you think that by like early-mid february Wiis will be available all the time?
