ooo my (somewhat) local target just popped up as in stock! BUT I HAVE SCHOOL!!!! i'm gonna beg my mom to go in at opening, but she's the type that thinks its pointless to go in unless she calls ahead of time. But by then i'm sure they'll be gone seeing as we're half an hour away. too bad thats the closest freaking target.

thanks. another reason she probably won't go though: last time it showed up as available overnight, they randomly got them in at 9:30 on a UPS truck, instead of having them in at opening from the overnight.

oh ok...last week my dad went everyday when they opened before he went to work but he didn't have any luck...but i wasn't sure wether they would be in at opening or soon after...

Yea i think it shows what you missed on itrakr. it shows that the Westmont Plaza Gamestop in your area and the State Rout 10 EBgames haven't been updated in 18 hours but still says in stock...it might be worth a call but they are probably long gone by now...

i have a question about itrackr. if i check at like 6 AM and it says that Target has them in stock (since 2 hours ago)... do you think that there was a delay in the update and that they got them in stock the day before, or that they got them in stock overnight, so i should head to target?

I finally got one, only 50 bucks more than retail from a craiglister about 10 minutes away. Hope you all get them soon! signing off, carrot.

You definitely should go to the store (probably 15 minutes before open). Updates overnight usually mean that the store received Wiis via nightly truck!!

Now this comment may be slightly offensive, but it is factual for finding a Wii. I went to an EB Games in a "Not so nice part of town" (8 Mile and Gratiot) and they have them sitting there. In the lower income areas, these items are not selling and are just collecting dust. If you have this kind of area near you, I would check in. This EB in East Detroit has had them in stock constantly.

Here's where you start negotiating chores or whatever for your mom. I'm sure that there's something that will make it worth her while. Everyone has their price.

I dunno what I should do! According to the Gamestop Availability site, there is a few in my area who have 'em in stock. I dunno if I should mad dash to one of them or wait until they open to call them.

If you are able to get yourself a little further south, Cherry Hill, Deptford, Vorhees, Marlton and Mount Laurel Targets appear to still have them in stock from yesterday. I'm inclined to believe that they are still in stock because these stores have been pretty good about sending the out of stock notices as well. But do call ahead. Good luck!

As a former Detroiter, I find this post hilarious. I guess that suburbanites still think that they will still immediately be robbed, beaten, raped, murdered and likely set fire to upon entering the city. You could basically have a wii giveaway on the other side of 8 mile and suburbanites would be too afraid to cross the road to claim their prize. Serves 'em right, I hope that all wii's in SE MI are shipped to stores south of 8 mile (but not downriver, 'cuz that's where I'm afraid to go )

Depends on how far away it is. If it's close, why not go? BTW, calling GameStops and EBgames is risky in general, it has been well documented on this forum that they usually lie.
