Oh okay, yeah thats a good point. i guess people feel like a toy store wouldnt have em, but i guess they do. yeah when i asked the lady at toys r us, she didnt act as thought they havent had em in a while, she just said "No Wiis, theyre selling really quickly" .. so i suppose they do get shipments. on tuesday im gonna ask when the last time they got them was. if only itrackr had a section for Toys R Us.... they have one for Comp USA and i doubt Comp USA gets them alot.

TRU gets more than you think. They were an official launch partner for the wii, after all. I think they often get 15-20 at a time. That's def comparable to Target and BB and WAY more than EBgames/GameStop.

yeah, i guess thats gonna be my main place to go to now. its so convenient having all these stores so close to each other (TRU, BB, CC, Walmart) ... and its right by my school. so im gonna check evvvery day. except idk if should bring 400 dollars to school with me...

You might try converting that cash into one of those universal gift card things. It's basically a credit/debit card with a prepaid amount of cash on it. You could def get one through your bank, if you have one. If not, try a drug store or something.

Sure. Just get it in your hands and pop a squat for a few hours. You won't make friends that way, but it should work, particularly if you could get your dad on a cell, swearing that he'll be there to pick you up and pay.

I need some help in the chicago land area(60172). Game stops/Eb games are really inconsistent out here and target/bestbuy havent recieved any shipments lately. Anyone know how often circuit citys recieve shipments and if they recieve any on sundays. Its hard for me to get one durring the week due to work and was hoping i could pick one up tommarow. Any help would be much apreciated since itrackr doesnt seem to update stock and when they do its not accurate it.

The fact that someone died trying to get a Wii is pretty sad. Come on people, I know everyone wants a Wii, but endangering your life over it (yes you can very easily drink too much water and get water poisoning as this lady demonstrated) is a little rediculous considering it is just a video game console and in a month or so they should be available.

Yeah but how many people are aware you can actually die of drinking water? I know I didn't. It's not like they asked contestants to compete for who can drink the most gasoline. It was an innocent contest.

Uhad to call maybe... 10 different stores like at least 7 times each asking for one, finally one walmart confirmed that they would have one up in the next three days (i called dec 26th) so i was like "oh sweet, thanks a lot" and hung up, then the next morning me and my dad went, and they didnt have any, so then we hit bestbuy, futureshop, toys r us, micro play and ebgames.. etc... no one had one. so im back at home calling all over town asking for one, then im like "what the hell, ill call walmart again" so i do, and they just just put them on the shelves. walmarts maybe 3 km away from me (about 2 miles) we were there in 2 minutes

oh no, thats the story of how i got mine , i got it december 27th the first time i went was at 8:30, then i when i got it at walmart it was about 10

For you I would suggest:
1. Itrackr. If CC gets them in overnight, perhaps you can go first thing in the morning?
2. Online. Update the online trackers mentioned in this thread religiously

Itrackr shows lots of Targets in Southern/Central Jersey who are holding wiis apparently for next Sunday. I would also suggest checking out your local TRU store early this week. Get there at opening (10:00am) and if they don't have them then, wait around an hour or so for the DHL delivery guy.
