Still on the Search for Wii?

hopefully my target will have them on the 21st. im gonna be really disappointed if they dont. its starting to piss me off how no stores ever have them in my area.

Ok, so I went to EB Games again, only to find that the same guy wasn't there. When I asked the new guy about the Wii, he told me they don't get just one, ever. He told me the guy I had talked to yesterday was full of crap, and it was not the first time he had mis-informed customers before. My spirits were crushed, but I bought a copy of Twilight Princess for Wii anyway, because I figured I'd have it when I did finally get a Wii.

I brought my sister across the street to Toys 'R Us so she could spend her gift card. She asked the lady behind the desk if they had some board game she was looking for (she's 8), and they didn't have it. So just for the hell of it, I ask the lady behind the desk if they have any Wiis. Before she even responds, I start to brace for the incoming failure. But when her response was "Yes, we have one up front.", I nearly fell flat on my face.

I bolted to the front of the store to find not one, but 7 Wiis. My heart pounding, I grabbed the box and brought it to the cash register. When the cashier handed me the receipt, I thought I would faint. I was so elated, but not so elated where I forgot those still Wii-less, so I called 2 of my friends who were still on the search, and told them to hurry down there as fast as they could. They ended up getting the last 2.

So, I am now the proud owner of a Nintendo Wii, and I couldn't be happier. Even though I didn't really help anyone from this site find a Wii really, at least I was able to help a few of the Wii-less.

i didnt score. i got heartbroken as usual. i ask a guy if they have any, "no", and i ask when they had them in last and he goes "im not sure as that guy over there" ... so i walk over and ask do you know when you last had wiis "NO(with a jerk attitude... ) we're not getting any for another 3 weeks"

Glad to hear that TRU was able to come through for a couple of you. Congrats and enjoy your wiis!!

Like I said before, people tend to forget about TRU, so it's always a good idea to give them a call! They get shipments throughout the week. The East Coast usually tends to be earlier in the week, but areas of New York and New England got them at the end of last week, so you never know.

The Target sale is not a rumor, so look for your itrackr's to start picking up Target shipments at the end of the week.

i tryed my tru and the last person was just grabbing the last wii

, well i bought Zelda, Madden, Red Steel, and 2 extra wiimotes. i spent a good 200 dollars on exessories hopefully this will all be worth it in the end. Me and my friend are going to target dark and early on Sunday.

i got mine on the 3rd from my toys r us i went up ready for them to say no and they said we have 1 left i bought it and came home to find that my cleaning lady was at my house and i couldnt walk on the floors cuz they were wet so i waited 15 min(seemed like 6 hrs) and played for about 5 minutes ........then i got zelda and played for 8 more hrs.

What time were you at TRU when you were able to get your Wii and if you know when the last time that particular TRU had Wii's before today. Thanks

Hi,
I'm new to this forum but have been searching for a Wii since before Christmas. Needless to say, lots of just a few minutes to late situations that have been so frustrating. However, this upcoming weekend while promising, could potentially turn out bad for me:

Target and best buy both appear to be selling Wiis 1/21. However, CC is now also selling them, although they report only 9 per store. I have gift cards at CC, so that would be best, but my CC has often let me down (having less in stock than promised, etc.). I don't want to miss my opportunity at getting one if I go and wait it out there. And, since Target opens at 8, and CC at 10, I'd be setting my fate if I go to CC and wait it out. What do you guys recommend?

I would definitely go to Target first. They are much more reliable. I never really liked Circuit City to be honest, and i think it would be better to just go to Target instead of taking chances. But, maybe you should buy the Wii at target, just so you know you have it, and then buy games at Circuit City with your gift card

OMGGGGGGGGG!!! AWESOME. heres what i think im gonna do. get to Target at like 6. if i cant get one ill go right to best buy (10 minute drive) so ill be there by 820 (it opens at 10). i am SET!!!

but wait, those minimums. thats for EVERY store right. not just certain stores.

i see cc and bb have their minimums but what about target?

i have to go to sunday school at 10:30 am so my only chance is a store that opens at 8, which is target. I am praying that i will be able to get one at there, do i have a good chance at target ?
