Looks like a non-legitimate wholesaler but a garage-based wholesaler. Come on, didn't you read that the website e-mail is a "FREE YAHOO ACCOUNT"?

Under the privacy page, it says your information will be "used" for other promotions.

Your personal info is probably on thousands of lists now. I doubt you will ever see the Wii! I would contact 4lifelock to protect yourself from identity theft.

I was there at about 11am, and they had 7 left out of I dunno how many, and as far as I know, the last one went at about 1:30. But who knows? Maybe those 2 Wiis would have been there longer had I not called my friends to come and get them.

Also, someone posted earlier about store.nintendo.com having Wiimotes and Nunchuks in stock. When I went, they only had nunchuks, but I placed an order late Friday afternoon and received my nunchuk this morning. Pretty good turnaround...

Ladies and Gentlemen, I just received a phone call from a Best Buy insider. He works in Ohio at the midwest distribution center. He just got done with a staff meeting, and the January 21st sale is being pushed to an undisclosed date next month. Apparently the corporate offices are pissed over the PowerPoint presentation leaking onto the internet. The sale will NOT be on a weekend and will start at 12:00 noon. (After the store is open) They don't want people lining up waiting anymore. Take it for what it's worth. I guess I gotta wait another month too. Glad I didn't camp out.

Well, Best Buy, Circuit City, Target, etc. are all advertising them for their 21st ad. If it is advertised in the ad, then they have to sell at least one Wii on the 21st. If they do not, they have violated a State law.

I have seen the ads, they should be available on the 21st, if you camp.

I just scored my second Wii (for my inlaws) at the same place i got my first. The TRU on RT 18 in New Brunswick NJ gets a shipment in almost every day to every other day by DHL or UPS. They bring them from the stock room between 11am and 12pm. When I went today at 12:30pm they had two left out of about 10 from that morning. Good Luck to all Wii searchers.

If bestbuy and target are really holding them because of the ad, thats just moronic. Now lets review:

• You can't keep them in stock at all - the Wii area is always a desert wasteland as usual, yet drowning in ps3s..
• You decide to run an ad (and the thinking behind this is ??? You need to run an ad so people will come in and buy all the wii's that you arn't selling?)
• You have to hold wii's so that people won't get irate because of the ad that you ran..........

Does ANYONE else find this 147.65% absurd? Why would anyone need to advertise something you can't even keep in stock? And then now they have to hold stock because of the ad that they are running to ................OMG

Hi I'm obviously new to the forum. I'm on my search for a wii for my birthday which is the 27. I've heard a lot about this 1/21 stuff about target selling wiis. I was wondering what time I should get there. I live in a pretty small town and my dad is going to have to take me and if we get up early and they don't have any made is going to be p!$$ed . Plus every time I call them they say that there getting a shipment in Wednesday or Thursday.

I would get there at least 4 hours prior to opening. However, word is, that Targets are only getting in a minimum of 8 Wiis.

You may want to be there earlier.

They want to drive up traffic in their store. They're not putting the Wiis in the ad to sell Wiis. They're putting Wiis in the ad to sell lots of other stuff. Sure, most people who come in for the Wii are just going to get the Wii... but there will be a lot of people who are going to see that portable DVD player that's just perfect for Stevie's birthday that's coming up... and those CDs would be perfect for my niece... or: "oh, you've just sold the last one? well, I'm here anyway, I'll just buy a $250 gift card"...

And if they didn't HOLD the Wiis, they'd be breaking the law by selling out of them before the date in the ad... those ads are usually created well in advance.
