Still on the Search for Wii?

if it says it is coming in tommarow on wiiseeker and the people at the store "dont know' should i still go in the morning

I think there will be Wiis available in stores within a couple of weeks in most cities and probably won't fly off the shelves in a couple of hours. In worst case, you will have to call multiple stores but you should be able to get one with in a week of search.

Remember, Nintendo is targeting a shipment of 6 million Wii machines by the end of March!!

So don't pay extra to anyone.

They are not allowed to say they have them when you call. But I'd say there's a really good chance. Especially with Target, since itrackr has said for several days now that all my local Targets are in stock, but when I called they said they won't have any til Sunday.

I heard Best Buy gets the biggest shipments, so that will be my fallback. They open at 10 (2 hrs after Target) and said they will be giving out tickets right at opening time. They advise being early as a line will form, but have no idea how early.

thanks i am going to target at 6; i have to go to sunday school at ten so if not at target i'm going to try cc around 12:30, that is unlikely that i will be able to find one then. <SO I NEED TARGET TO GET ATLEAST 15-20>

OMGG!!! tomorrrow im definitely getting one. First im goin to target, then best buy, and then... to this store that is HOLDING one for me. cuz my friends friend works there. AH IM SO EXCITED!

Just got my first Itrackr alert while watching a movie!

Lol. Circuit City had some in stock. I went there. They said there getting a truck after closing time and be here sunday morning! So im sweet and ready to go!

I got extra wii mote and nunchuk, green skin cover for wiimote, and DBZ Budokai 2 for Wii!

Parents gave in and have bought my wal mart gift card. So... the hunt is on in St. Louis , MO. I'm going to Target first early in the morning and be keeping a close eye on the Best Buy which is right near it. I live about twenty minutes away, and it's been pouring snow down for hours now. So.. wish me luck! I'm going to bearing the elements to bring a Wii home!!!

Hey everyone man ive had a pretty big week. ive called everyone in town then i saw the post about target and best buy this weekend. i wanna thank u all so much! my mom went in to target.......didnt get 1......then she ran to cc and she is #11 in line. they r gettin 20!!!!! so in 2 hours ill be a proud wii owner. thanks to all u that helped keep me goin.

Hey all,

I just got my ticket at Target. They have 54 in stock and there were only about 30 people in line. My toes and fingers are freezing but I get to pick up our Wii at 8. We were all saying in line that a Bears victory would make our day complete!

Woohoo!!! Showed up at Target at around 6:15 and there were about 12 people ahead of me and they said they recieved about 30 and when they finally came out to hand out the tickets, they had a total of 35. Me is so happy now. Hopefully everyone else scored a Wii!

no they had sent out 6 millon by the end of december
there targeting 17 millon for canada and us

Snagged one at Target after waiting since 5:45! They had a shipment of 54... so you might check your local target at noon in case someone who had a ticket doesn't show up or can't pay etc. worth a shot. good luck everyone! It's now time to game for the next forever.

Congrats to all of today's new wii owners!!!

I guess the relative silence here is good and means that people are busy setting up their wii's. If you've used this forum and had success, please post a quick note here, it means a lot to those of us who have wii's, but have stuck around to help others.

Got my Wii today at Bestbuy in Valley Stream, New York. I went to bestbuy around 10:30 this morning and there were about 20 people ahead of me. Bestbuy didn't give out any ticket at all and people started showing up around 11 AM and was just standing at the entrance. To see these people just standing there was upsetting everyone in the line. And these people were not ghetto or white trash they where people who are dressed in church clothes and mothers and their annoying kids. Thy just had no damb class as people were waiting there for hours. So come 11AM bestbuy opened up the door and there was a mad dash towards checkout for the Wii. In line at checkout I saw people who were behind me, people I never saw before and arguments started. I evenutally was able to snag one. Word of mouth was that Bestbuy got around 50 so the arguments and line cutting never really needed to happen because after I got mine bestbuy then started to count numbers and there were at least 20 people behind me who got a Wii.

And this is for the father and his two kids, the boy and the girl with a carribean accent who drove a tan toyota camry and was in their sunday's best for church. You have no class and god don't like ugly for cutting at least 10 of us then complaining about people cutting lines.

I went at 6AM was 7th out of 50! There were about 100 people in line, so they turned away a lot of ppl!I live in miami...

I'm so glad that getting there at 6 worked out for you! I've been reading the successes on the Amazon forum as well and it sounds like very few people camped out.
