Update: Still here in Hamilton Ontario Canada, every store that sells the Wii is sold out. Once they take delivery and they open their doors, the systems sell within the first hour. Just recently have I started to see VC controllers sitting on shelves, still no Wiimotes or (heaven forbid) Nunchucks... I'm definitely not looking forward to the attempt at getting my paws on a copy of SMGalaxy, I think I'll set a preorder for that one asap.

I just got my ticket at Target. We were all saying in line that a Bears victory would make our day complete!
The way the Bears are playing, even with Grossman playing last week to barely escape with a win, thats how they have gotten most of their wins the 2nd half of the season. If I were you, I'd be happy you got a Wii. Anything other than that, and I'm afraid you are going to be dissapointed

Got my Wii today at Bestbuy in Valley Stream, New York. I went to bestbuy around 10:30 this morning and there were about 20 people ahead of me. Bestbuy didn't give out any ticket at all and people started showing up around 11 AM and was just standing at the entrance. To see these people just standing there was upsetting everyone in the line. And these people were not ghetto or white trash they where people who are dressed in church clothes and mothers and their annoying kids. Thy just had no damb class as people were waiting there for hours. So come 11AM bestbuy opened up the door and there was a mad dash towards checkout for the Wii. In line at checkout I saw people who were behind me, people I never saw before and arguments started. I evenutally was able to snag one. Word of mouth was that Bestbuy got around 50 so the arguments and line cutting never really needed to happen because after I got mine bestbuy then started to count numbers and there were at least 20 people behind me who got a Wii.
And this is for the father and his two kids, the boy and the girl with a carribean accent who drove a tan toyota camry and was in their sunday's best for church. You have no class and god don't like ugly for cutting at least 10 of us then complaining about people cutting lines.
I had the same experience at the Best Buy here in Kansas, except I was not as lucky to get a wii. I was about 26th in a line of 40 people, but they only had 20 wiis. I was a little dissapointed in Best Buy as it was 30 degrees out and they weren't handing out tickets or even saying how many units they had. Then when 11 oclock came around, people started showing up and walking up to the entrance, ignoring the line. They ended up only letting the first 20 people in line go in and get thier wiis before they opened the doors to everyone else. Looks like I'll be hunting for a few more weeks before I get mine. I did walk into the store to warm up before heading home and I laughed when I saw about 20 ps3's set out and nobody was even looking at them. I thought about buying one just so that I wouldn't have to go home empty handed, but then thought nah....
Best Buy here in Mission Viejo, CA got in 60 Wii and had to turn people away by opening at 10a. I managed to get 2 Wiimotes though, the last 2. Then went to Gamestop who only had 20, and traded in my GC and some games for credit got a nunchuk, the last one As I was leaving a guy offered me $80 for the nunchuk and a remote.. I took it. So now I am up $80, plus still have $50 in gift card credit at GameStop and BB... Not bad.. I can get another remote and chuk another time..
I wasn't on a wii search this am, I was looking for remotes and nunchucks no luck anywhere I went (I'm in the Seattle area). None at Targets, none at BestBuy and don't even get me STARTED on Circuit City... suffice it to say that if they were the only ones that had oxygen I would almost rather die than buy anything from them. *deep breath*
So I came home, pre-ordered wii play and ordered the 'motes and 'chucks from nintendo directly.
I am glad to see so many people getting theirs today though... I'm still pretty surprised by the lines at this point.
gET AN 36O, A WII IS GOOD TOO BUT EITHER A 360 WITH INTENSE GRPHICS AND ONLINE PLAY OR THE WII WITH ITS GREAT GAMEPLAY AND ITS IRRESISTABLE BABY PLAY GAMES.
Circuit City's in Louisville only got 10-16 per store.... Best Buy's however were in the 30's. Anybody know when the next shipment will arrive? I didn't get there early enough. Thanks!

My family is enjoying the Wii tennis and bowling action. It's even more fun drunk! Tomorrow we'll head to Best Buy with the gift cards, to get Zelda and one other game.

I waited for 3 hours for best buy to open and I was 6th in line. They ended up getting 52 Wiis and there were only 50 people in the line. SO they had two extra ones at opening. Oh well, I'm still happy I got one!
well guys. my long hunt is over. this morning, i get to Target at 745... go to one of the entrances into the mall and the guy goes "you here for the wii?" and i say "yes" and he goes "they have plenty, go down that way" (i couldnt believe my ears) .. so i go down that way and get a ticket. then just wait about 10 minutes. no big deal. walk over, get zelda, and get a nice WIII!!!! they must have had 100 wiis in stock today. there were tons of people on that line. and some guy got ther at 2 AM lol... i got there at 745 and still got one. oh well. awesome day. im loving the wii.
