I just read on another forum that people are/were buying multiple units from NintendoWorld, NY. This guy said he was buying several a week until they finally would not sell him anymore. At least other outlets are only selling one per customer. Thanks again Nintendo.

GOT MINE

I called Futureshop this morning to see if they were getting any in on Monday. They weren't, so I called EBgames to see if they knew when they were going to get any in. The guy was like "I have a few left" so I sped over there and got that + Zelda.

So happy.

Which is why people need to stop buying them at those ridiculous prices. I don't know where they got the Nintendo store got them in everyday. I called when they opened on Saturday (since I was in N. NJ and ~ 15 miles away) and they said they had none.

The only way to drive this point home is to not make it profitable for them. Then they will stop.

But I got mine and love it.

I think the Circuit Cities in my area are going to have some in stock this Sunday? How early do you all recommend getting there? They say they will hand out vouchers an hour before the store opens. Do you think getting there 2 hours before that (3 hours before the store opens) will work? My sons are going crazy - we've been trying since Christmas to find one.

Any advice appreciated!

depending on your area, but for me i will do the 1:30min before time. I already have a wii but my son broke it. So now i need a replacement.

If any one live in or near new york city, the easiest place to get a hold of wii is nintendo world near rockefeller center. They usually have stocks come in everyday. I was there twice after I got mine there and both times happened to be between 5-6pm. If you are free you can always hang around there when the store open and see if you can catch the shippment on that day.

Just find a store that lets you reserve it and reserve it under different names to allow you more time to get it (if you are busy). So once they call you and if you don't show up, they'll call the next person (which is you), then maybe you'll have time to go pick it up. Or try the price scanner method at Target. BTW, the Wii product code at Target is 207-25-0001.

Sadly I still haven't found a Wii yet. I've officially started my search about a couple weeks ago and still can't find one yet. I've called numerous stores, they said they don't have it or don't know when the next shipment is. However, they get about 5-10 units per store and they sell out within about half an hour. I guess you just have to be lucky enough to be shopping at the store (and have enough money) when they put it on the shelves. It's funny how 5 months after its release onto the market, it's still hard to find one... probably the best selling gaming console of all time. Another funny thing is that everytime I go to a store to ask about the availability of Wiis, there are like 4-5 PS3s on the shelves being ignored by customers. Even the PS3 demo stands don't really have much customers playing.

I know how you feel. So many times I called and a store had already sold out that day.

I got lucky with mine, because they didn't get them in until all the kids were in school.

I looked at GameCrazy,Best Buy,Target,Wal-Mart yesterday in Northen CA and couldn't find one nor was anyone taking pre-orders or would put your name on a list for one. I see alot of the stores around me saleing them as bundles, I just want the console itself.

Bundles are the dumbest thing most of the time they are over priced or come with 1 game you want but the other 2 are worthless. Its just a way so stores can make more money

I Got mine!

... at EBGames on friday. Rumor got out that a shipment was coming in the morning, as opposed to their usual mid day shipments.

Woke up reaaaaaaly early and went down there. I was the second in line. By the time of the stores opening there was well over 40 people in line.

... The store only got two in stock.

Oh man, the vile looks I got.

By the way, It was a canadian eb. The shipments here seem quite a bit lower than in the states.

Sorry, another side note. At least in No Cal (Pennisula), it seems stores are getting shipments approximately every 2 weeks from what I can tell. EBGames said they weren't getting any until april. I *think* they had some last weekend, but I hadn't officially started looking yet, so I'm not sure. This is what TRU @ bridgepoint said. They had some last sunday, and weren't getting any more till next sunday.
