I have had a wii giftcard for Gamestop since Christmas. Eventhough there are about 10 GS/EBs within 15 minutes of my where I live, (hence why my mom got it for me), it's by far the worst place to have a giftcard for since they get so few in. Plus I'm just simply too busy (and to a certain degree lazy) to call and go to each store asking the same question, while expecting the same "no" answer.

I finally broke down and bought one off Ebay. I bought it from one of the "power sellers" that had a "buy it now" price of $350 ($390 w/ shipping and insurance). When I did the cost vs. benefit analysis it wasn't all that bad since I wouldn't be spending all that time driving or calling and getting the "run around" from the poor employees who probably really don't know when the next shipment will come in. I also have PayPal buyer credit so I can pay it off in easy installments.

Plus I now have a giftcard for about $300 to spend on games. When we went to buy the card we were at least lucky enough to buy the last remote and nunchuck (x-mas time), so at least I aleady have an extra set of remotes.

And then after trading in my PS2 and some games, I was able to get Wario Smooth Moves and Excite Truck. Anyway, now I plan on using my giftcard for Super Paper Mario, Wii Play (might as well have 3 remotes), MK Armageddon, Mario Party 8, Super Smash Bros., and maybe some VC games. I hate the fact that you can't use giftcards to buy games on Gamestop's website. Since i'm such an impulsive shopper (especially online), I would have already bought or pre-ordered a whole bunch of games.

Good luck to those still on the hunt. I wish I had just received the cash or a "big box retailer" giftcard for xmas instead of a GS, since I would probably not have to wait as long or resort to buying off ebay.

I have had a gamestop gift card since Christmas and finally gave in to buying one off eBAy. Can anyone tell me for a mid Michigan city how often I can expect shipments to come? I know some places can get a new shipment every week or so, but maybe it just doesn't help that I live near a major city. Who knows

Using Klipfolio RSS feed reader I found CC selling the Wii in a bundle with an extra wiimote and nunchuk (which I was going to buy anyway). Set it up at work or any computer you sit at. As soon as one goes on sale buy it. Avoid the package deals if you can. Using this RSS feed I know of 4 people that got Wiis with little or no bundle. One from Sears, I got it from CC. I hope someone can use this to get themselves a Wii.

Hi, I'm a huge tennis fan and Virtua Tennis 3 came out and I want to get an Xbox 360 or PS3 so I'm looking to sell my Wii.

I've had my Wii since Martin Luther King day and I've played it probably like once a week.. All I play was the wii sport baseball. I've also downloaded Street fighter 2, Sonic and Mario Go Cart on the virtua console. I got it at bestbuy and bought it with the 2 year service agreement which means if anything happens to it for the next two years they will replace it at no cost.

I have everything it came it and I also bought the wireless gamecube controller which I will include. I'm in Jamaica Queens NY zip 11434 near the cross island parkway. I payed $314.99 for the Wii with replacement contract which is good until January 16, 2009 and is looking to sell it for that price. I will give you my reciept so if anything happens to the game in the next two years you can exchange it at no cost at any Bestbuy. April 1st is supposed to be like the "new year" for Nintendo. They are said to be putting out more wiis to the public. Keep checking your local gaming store.

Yeah, one of the GameStops that I called during my call around spree the other day said that they were expecting a shipment soon, yet when I was at a different GameStop, they denied it. Are they getting it, but just not trying to let the public know, or was the sales person over the phone just messing with me?

An FYI a little history.

When you see the ads for TRU, WalMart, CC, BB, etc. that have the Wii advertised, they must have them. Often they will put in quanities limited, or xx per store but they MUST have them. Years ago, there was a lot of complaints about not having stuff in ads (not just electronics). Stores were accused of false advertising and had I think some had to pay penalties.

I've been on the hunt for a Wii for about a month now.

Conducted a lengthy calling campaign last night to all the EBs & Gamestops in the area. Everyone I spoke to said they did not have the Wii and had no idea when the next shipment was coming in.

Frustrated by the online bundle deals I gave in today and signed up for an iTracker account.

Best $2.00 I've ever spent.

Within 1/2 hour I had a Wii in my hands, purchased from one of the stores who told me (less than 24 hours before) that they didn't have any in stock and didn't know when any more were coming in.

The salesperson told me they received a total of 3...

www.gamestop.com is now taking preorders for a bundle (4 games and wii for $550 or so), says it will ship April 23, so this could be related to all the rumors that Wii will be available in mass quantities by May 1.

I think its crap that they put it in a bundle so they can unload some games! I dont want the games in the bundle, I JUST WANT A Wii!! Then I want Guitar Hero to come out, but first things first, I want a Wii!!

In the uk the amount of wii's going round has been well quite bad, some stores complain saying 'Its a £20 preorder fee and we dont know when we will get more in could be 8 weeks" but then there are some stores getting wii's weekly In the UK most GAME stores are getting wii's every week or so, dont trust the web sites! the sites say things like we are totally out of stock but then it turns out your local store has them :S HMV and gamestation are ok for bundles and stuff but if you want a wii as soon as possible i would suggest GAME. my experience was looking at endless amoutns of sites saying wii's are out of stock but then when i went out shopping i checked in gamestation where they said they might be getting some wii's soon so i pre ordered one then i walk round the corner only to encounter GAME who said they will have wii's in the next day so i cancell
