I would VERY much appreciate if someone could answer this one question. That Wii Seeker everyone seems to be talking about...is it something you can really rely on? Has it worked for current Wii owners?

The only time I really though wiiseeker was helpful was when it had the allocation numbers for Target prior to launch. Now it doesn't seem very helpful. I suggest trying www.itrackr.com

Worked for me even tho the Walmart Wednesday thing was pretty well-known. I did overhear some guys in line talking about how Gamestop was getting some in on Friday and Toys R' Us are getting some in on Sunday and the Wii Seeker for my area does show both of those on the correct days. So I think it's pretty accurate.

Yes I do know about the itrackr as well but have had no luck. Has this worked for you by chance? I heard from my local Target that all the online things are not true...I just don't know what to believe anymore. I just want this hunt to be over with...without having to resort to Ebay.

Yes I wanted to get the Wii at Walmart just like you but I got screwed over by people that had rainchecks. Also, I'd love to have Gamestop & Toys R' Us in my area but I don't unfortunately. The area I reside in isn't exactly a large metropolitan area you could say. I've actually considered a road trip since my area sucks so much.

i find it quite helpful, except know i cant find my ebgames and all stores say no dat except best buy, which is supposedly getting them on dec. 17

I didn't get my wii through itrackr, but I've been monitoring it. I have faith in it because it's made by the same guy that did the 360 tracker last year - and that worked like a charm. None of the stores in my area have had any in stock lately...but when itrackr says so, I'll check it out and get back to you.

Any Canadian (Ontario) People have any luck today? I called and went all over my area and there were no shipments and signs on doors as to no Wiis and shortages.

Any help would be appreciated.

My wife and I decided to employ the divide and conqueur method. We each went to a seperate Wal-Mart in our area. We both ended up being 12th in line. Both stores only had 9 machines. They waited to tell us how many they had at 7:45, so it was too late to go anywhere else.

The store my wife was at was going to only sell 2 of them and honor 7 rain checks when the sales paper had clearly said no rain checks. They finally relented and sold the other 7 to those in line.

We have called/visited every store in our area that sells Wiis and none of them have any, and don't know when they are getting them.

(**take this rumor with a grain of salt**) The manager at 1 Electronic's Boutique said that Nintendo sent an email to all Wii distributors about the Wiis they have now and they weren't supposed to be sold until after this weekend. Wal-Mart sold theirs today knowing that they would be penalized by being skipped on the next shipment.
How legitimate this is, I have no clue.

I'm in Waterloo and no-one has gotten any since launch week, so it's been at least a week and a half of nothing in this area. At least that's what the stores are telling me. I'm thinking that some of the second/third shipments probably went to store employees of the bigger box stores like Future Shop since they weren't allowed to take anyu on launch day. Either that or Nintendo has been holding off large shipments so they can manufacture more first.

Your best bet is to go to Best Buy this Friday, since they've been stockpiling them since launch week to have a bigger release. They aren't giving out a minimum # per store this time though, so you might want to call ahead the day before to see how many they have and if it's worth lining up early. At least they should be in winter store hours now so they'll open a little earlier

Other than that, find out when a store normally gets their weekly shipments in and just show up. Demand still seems high enough that phoning ahead won't guarantee that there will be any left by the time you get there. Good luck.

When you call the number listed on the site try each option to get a hold of someone specific. Listen carefully to the automated announcement. If you get a voicemail, hang up and try the next option until you get a hold of someone.

Last week, I called and a lady said people wait on line from like 1am. She said that even the folks that arrive at 5am would probably get a Wii. They are Nintendo World..they get a new stock every day. Good lucK.
