I am curious about this, is the lack of availability due to low production, continued high demand or some of both?
Given the initial buzz and based on the monthly sales figures, I can't believe they haven't ramped up production like crazy.
What gives?

Heard That This Sunday Circuit City Will Have Wii's in Stock, It says Vouchers will be handed out Sunday, 1 hour prior to opening. Hopefully you can get your hands on one =]

FYI, I was at Target at 9:30AM this morning (the one at Sawgrass), and they had x4pcs available in stock. I searched for couple of weeks and couldn't find one and just purchased one off of ebay couple days ago....  Darn it. |

Should I get there before 9:00 on Sunday to pick one up, or do you think there won't be many people there? Also, how does the voucher thing work? As long as I have a voucher, can I pick up my Wii anytime, or do I have to get it upon opening?

Currently only Best Buy will be carrying Wiis on Sunday ( http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showthread.php?t=507192)
I, too, would like to know whether or not I should camp out for one.

Just depends on really where you live. Like in a big city yeah you better get there early and if you live in like a small town it will probably be there until like 3 hours after opening hours =/
But if you want to really get one I would suggest getting there around 1-2 Hours before opening hours =]

I can't believe Wii is still hard to get. My friend is waiting for one and has to reserve it at gamestop. Ps3 are allways in stock. It just goes to show how much more exciting the Wii is. I wish everyone goodluck and to keep on trying. Its an AMAZING system.

The gamestop by me gets there shipments in randomly during the week but usually around 2pm is what the guys told me. Sure enough the next day I call at 2:30 and they just got a shipment in. My advice is to talk to someone and find out what time they usually get shipments in and try calling everyday around that time, and be prepared to drop whatever your doing to get there fast.

Toys R Us in TIME SQUARE has a shit load of wiis just sitting near the register... They had a couple hundred there on tuesday.... If you want go there.
