I was in a Best Buy in Chandler, AZ today and lunch. They had 3 Wii's in stock. I got lucky as I was just looking for my kids this Christmas and picked one up. Funny as I thought the box was a display until I picked it up and found it was heavy. haha.

all i gotta say is that the demand for the wii is unbelievable. went to best buy yesterday morning and picked one up with 4 more wiis available at one of the tables. next thing you know it. a swarm of people gather around that table like flies and then take off leaving nothing but an a wiimote and a nunchuck behind. goodness, the madness this system has been through. hehe. but i'm content with my wii though. =P
if anything you just have to call around first, that's what i did.

I've been searching a lot for the past week, due to the huge 360 problem I had so I decided that Nintendo is my pal from now until I die. 
...anyways.. all stores around me have said "We haven't gotten a shipment for a month now nor do we plan to get one until at least, December."
What a load of crap...

you can look on Ebay, but expect to pay a bundle for postage (though i guess its like that for all items, I payed $3 postage for a deck of cards).
I usually find that Shin Tokyo stores get deliveries very quickly, though I dont know how spread out their stores are.

I got mine about a month ago at a Circuit City. I was talking to several different store reps (Best Buy, Circuit City, etc) and they said that they put their Wii's in their weekly ads. Which means they HAVE to have some for the store's open on Sunday.
So I made a list of stores that carry wii's and their open times. I went to the first store that opened Sunday, and got one. There was a line but not a long one.
I called around Friday and Saturday about Wii Shipments, Circuit City said they had 12 in stock, but were waiting till Sunday to sell them. All 12 were sold within 10 minutes of open.
So the moral of the story... call around a find when they get shipments and when they can sell them. Then just get there when their doors open.
If you do your homework, you should be able to get one. I've never seen one in stock other then that day I got mine at 9am. Walmart, Target, ToysRus, Meijer, Best Buy, Circuit City, etc... are always sold out.

If youre in Chicago, check out Target located in Burbank,Illinois. I was there today and I say 7 wiis there! They were just stitting there. People were just walking by them!

This YouTube video shows a trick to get one at Amazon.com without any markup. Plus, since it's Amazon.com you don't pay any tax or shipping. It's not for everyone... but it worked for mii.
Happily playing my Wii ever since

Most places don't let you reserve the Wii, due to, it's high demand and somewhat, low supply.

We finally got one! Thursday afternoon I was at Toys R Us looking for a bday present for my little brother, and went to look around in the electronics dept. They had just gotten 3 in, I was so excited. The clerk said the major stores get shipments in on Thursdays and Sundays, so check then.
