i got pritty sick of calling every single store out ther instead the best way is to scout onliny the prices will be high until you find the right website wth the right person i got my wii normal price 250bux with 20 bux shipping from an ebay sucker who didnt realize he could get away with selling it for 300 bux instead

Wow, I got lucky ... I decided on the 18th of November, LAST year that I was gonna get up a little early and go buy a Wii... I ended up getting one (#84 of 91 in line, at my local best buy), and now I have at least two friends who are having trouble getting them!

A few weeks ago I decided I'd better get started with my holiday shopping which included a Wii for the family. I had no idea they were still so hard to find and frankly was wondering if I would be able to pull it off...

Thanks to the good advise and tips from this forum I was able to find one in ae matter of days. I did my homework as suggested, build a list of the most likely local stores getting shipments and was persistent calling them about stock. Sure enough this morning I talked to one of my local GameStop stores just as they opened and they had just received a new shipment. Ten minutes later I was there and snagged one.

I guess in a few months I'll be explaining to my little guys how "Santa must have some GREAT connections" to have brought them a Wii!

finally got the wii

well last christmas i was hoping for a wii but i had no such luck and after much frustration with the low amounts of wiis in stores i decided to buy a 360 will all of my money (which i love for halo 3 and now cod4). still wish i kept up looking for one but now my little sister wants a wii for christmas which is the best situation because now i will have both systems. well last night my mom got on me to look for one so i made about 7 calls at around 8 o'clock eastern and found a store that had one and my mom went and picked it up at around 832 eastern and now on christmas morning i will have a wii waiting for me since after the first week my sister will never play it again and it will be left for me.

Seems Amazon gets their shipments every Thursday. Check next week if you don't one yet.

Priced way too high for just a console. Why pay a premium for just that?

It's better to just find one locally using on of the methods outlined in these threads or buy a bundled unit.

Buying from vistashack seems as good as buying from ebay . . . inflated price provider. Now, as it gets closer to Christmas and somebody is desperate, the market price will bend people to buy the Wii at whatever the buyer can bear.

Just not now, there are still better options.

Just check futureshop or bestbuy online. Use the instore RealTime stock checker for all the locations that you would be willing to travel to. Check once every day, and when one goes green, give them a call and say you will be buy in an hour.

I hope to be getting a Wii for Christmas, I heard Game , and Gamestation are getting some in stock in my town (Ipswich) today (Tuesday)!

My Game store had 10 in stock the other day but they sold out quickly!

I also heard that the Ipswich Toys R Us store may have some in stock too!

Apparently, the Nintendo store in NYC has (or had) plenty of Wiis, limit 1 per customer. A friend of mine was there on Saturday and picked one up for his son.

Amazon DE and FR no longer shipping to UK

So it looks like Amazon DE and FR are no longer going to ship to the UK.

Anybody know of any other european websites that will ship to the UK? And will actually accept UK credit cards?

Does any one know if you can buy the wii in spain and would it work here in britain.I have a realtive going to benidorm and wonder if they could buy 1 for me.
