Still on the Search for Wii?

I'm From Boston also (actually Medford at Tufts University)...looking for a Wii. The best way seems to be just to call around. I ended up getting a PS3 to sell on ebay (funds going to wii) while calling around for a wii. If anyone has any Boston hints please post them. Thanks.

yeah who knows... doesnt matter i got one on the 6th anyways

I'm gonna be a patient gamer though, and sold it on ebay and it went for 485... i pretty much got my wii free now. All i gotta do is find another

I'm from Lawrence, Kansas and I've been casually looking for a wii since Black Friday. I thought I had gotten lucky on Wed. morning when I went to Walmart at 7am and walked back to the electronics section and only saw 2 other people standing there. But then went I went to ask an employee about how many they had, the employee told me that the line was in the home and gardens section. About 12 people had been camping there overnight and they only had 6 wii's anyway.

For those wondering about http://www.iTrackr.com, I went ahead and forked over the two dolla to track the wii, but it only tracks Target and EB Games, I have a walmart, best buy, and sears here too, but it just doesn't track them. Also, it says that the in-stock status hasn't changed for Target or EB Games in over 8 days, but I know that Target had some on Sunday morning, so I'm not sure that iTrackr is going to work all that well for me.

I also check out this site http://www.techbargains.com/buywii.htm thoughtout the day to see if any of the online retailers have them in stock.

Bummer... sorry to hear about your wednesday. I went at 3am and was number 23 at my store :o (mine got 31 in). I was kinda pissed we had to sit in the cold home and garden section

Thanks for the reply. When you say 95% of the release dates for store on this site have been correct do you mean iTrackr, or THIS site wiichat.com? If so, where do you find the release dates on THIS site.

MagicMurdock, I have been following this forum for dates and what store should be releasing them. Canada is not on the same schedule, I have gone into each store, showed up before opening, no lines no nothin. And all the stores had not had any shipments. I do know that this week a few stores are getting shipments in and would be checking into Futureshop/Bestbuy Friday morning. I know Futureshop release some PS3 this morning as they all got a shipment last night. I would imagine same wiht bestbuy becuase they are owned by the same parent company. I was informed that the Wii should be coming in today as they were hoping for the shipment last night. So look tomorrow morning for them to hit shelves. Toys R Us was also scheduled to get a shipment in this week, and i am thinking that all the stores are going to be getting them roughtly the same date in canada and releasing them this friday

i personally havent used itrackr yet... i did just sign up for it though so we'll see. I've been using wiiseeker, and this site (just in the forums) to find out where to camp. Just keep reading in this thread and you will find stuff out.

I had a similar situation at EB.. they suck

walk in at 10, opening "any wii?" nope... our shipment comes in after 3 or 4
Okay... come in at lunch at 1:00 "any wii yet?" No, the shipment came in around 10:45 sorry... WTF!

Yeah, i think i already said (to lazy to look back in the thread

) but my brother works at Futureshop, and he says that they are getting a shipment of about 15 Wii's in for Friday. (that means Best Buy will be too, as you may know.) And yeah, i will be going early in the morning to line up, if there is even a line, but i have no idea if there will be or not...

I would call target and ask their operator if they are suppose to have any shippments in on sunday. I got mine last sunday at target. They had 100 units come in.

I just talked to Best Buy and they said they might be getting a shipment in tomorrow... but since it's a drop shipment they can't even remotely tell me what time.

I've also heard the rumors that some stores will be getting some consoles in on Sunday... but I cannot, for the life of me, remember where I read that. Can anyone confirm or say they are pretty sure that is true for Target and Toys r Us?

I went to best buy this morning and they said to check their flyer that comes out on sunday. I am going to try Target on sunday, but what about tommarow on friday? Anyone know if any stores maybe getting them? It's 5:06pm central time here now. I live in Louisiana. AND theres no damn Nintendo here or else I would have about 15 of them right now!!

Scam artist? no... I'm just more determined than you are. How is selling one on ebay a scam? i'm not tricking anyone to do anything they dont want to do... Some parents dont like to sit outside in the cold to get their kid a wii for christmas, so they can buy me one for sitting outside, and buy one for their kid too.

I heard the same thing for sunday too... CC, toys r us, and target (i heard maybe BB but i guess BB is friday instead of sunday now)

I just called mine and got an answering machine saying they don't know when they're getting any and it's first come, first serve. I just don't know where to go anymore!
