About that thing with EBgames on the 25th of January, is that for all Ebgames and Gamestops in the country or just in the Detroit area? Does anyone have any other tips on getting a wii other than that? I am already using itrackr, wiialerts, and a couple of other tracking sites which haven't turned up anything.
Well I live in los angeles california, and i've been hunting down a wii literally for quiet some time. I don't want to order a bundle since they all seem like big ripoffs and I don't have the money for them. Does anyone know if the gamestops, best buys, eb's or any other stores in that area will have any wii's in stock anytime soon? I call but they always get an attitude with me and give me a lame reply.
Anyone know when Wilkinsons in the UK will have the Wii back in stock? or any of the following stores below.
HMV - UK *non bundle package*
GameStation - UK *non bundle package*
Argos - UK - *non bundle package*
LittleWoods - UK - max weeks of delivery at moment 20 weeks
GreatUniversal - UK - max weeks of delivery at moment 20 weeks
The main store im targeting from getting one at the moment is Wilkinsons as they are priced at £169.99 im just waiting for re-stock. Only thing is it says this one does not come with any games with includes not benefiting from wii sport.
I tried to get a Wii for my Birthday. I tried to get a Wii for Christmas. Now I'm trying to convince my Mom that I want the Wii badly and I'm awaiting a response. I hope I can get the Wii for my Birthday. I've wanted it for over a year now on and off. Brawl and Animal Crossing Wii are my main reasons.

That really stinks.
Good news, my Mom said she'd think about getting me it so I'm probably going to get a Wii on my Birthday!
Hi guys. I've been reading these forums as an unregistered user for about a year. I really just do not have anything to say most of the time, but now I finally need some help.
I live in Michigan, right outside of Flint for those of you familiar w/ MI.
Does anyone have ANY information on the UPS shipment days/times for Target, Best Buy, Circuit City and Walmart for around this region? It seems like every time I ask a worker, they tell me that 'it varies, there is no set day or time'.
Any help is appreciated (i'm STILL searching desperately for a wii - and yes I have itrackr).
Another Mid-Michigan (Lansing) searcher reporting in here... I've gotten exactly the same response from all the shops I've contacted around here.
My local GameStop hasn't had a shipment since before Christmas and they "expect to get one any day now, so feel free to call back tomorrow to check"...
sigh... My wiialerts.com got me Guitar Hero 3 this afternoon, now I have a game but no console! lol
Been looking for a wii for over a year now and out of frustration, I've joined this site hoping against hope and waiting for a miracle.
Anyone please know or have any tips on how I can track a wii in the northern suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA? Pretty please? Thank you and any tips can really help. I already signed up with these wii tracker websites and not sure if it will work. How are these websites updated anyways? Does somebody keep track of the shipments literally? Sorry for asking these dumb questions but I'm almost giving up. I know there's going to be light at the end of the tunnel.
It's been over a year now......{sigh}....
Any news? Glimmer of hope? Li'l bit of "blip" out there?
Fellow Wii seekers, any news, rumors, tips? I called Gamestop and was told by 2 stores that they're getting shipments any time now. I presume they would have to fulfill the December rainchecks first. Stupid me, didn't take advantage of it but it was nearly impossible as we were out of town for the holidays and no GS store in the podunk area we were travelling.
I truly feel dumb calling the stores nearby everyday and going to a nearby Target punching in the SKU number of wii to see if they have it in the backroom. I have resigned to the fact that perhaps the store employees get their first dibs on this first.

Well I can actually verify for you that employees DO get first dibs on them. I'm sure they put about 25% of whatever shipment they get in onto the shelves. The majority of the Wiis are either purchased by employees, or held for friends/family. I know this for a fact because my good friend just got a Wii last month from a store. He said that his Dad got his buddy (an employee who works there as electronics manager) set aside a wii for him to purchase. He simply stopped in an baught it.

I stopped at five stores today, no wiis, so I am one of the may searching for a wii (as I can tell from this 326 page thread).
The best news I heard of was from GameStop, whom informed me that they have possibilities of shipments from Mon-Fri and to call around the time of the UPS delivery, which is around 10:30-11 Am. Two of the GameStop stores I stopped in said that they had received SIX consoles (both stores, so a total of 12) on Tuesday and sold out the same day.
So the best thing would seem would be to find a local GameStop/EB Games and get their phone number and find out when shipments come in, and call Monday - Friday until you get your Wii.
I'm willing to wait, as this is the only system I am looking forward to buying. I have also been informed that it is difficult to locate nunchuks and wiimotes as well and charging docks, but they said they usually sell when the Wiis come in.
Hope that will help someone. That will be the method I will be doing until I find one. On a side note, I will be reserving Super Smash Bros. Brawl this weekend! My favorite game on the GameCube was Super Smash Bros. so this has me even more excited!
I'm from Flint (for those who don't know). I work in Mt. Pleasant. JUST GOT A WII!!! I called Gamestop at noon (lunchhour) to see if they had any. They JUST got them. I drove over there, the guy razored the box open, and gave me my Wii (this was not a pre-order). I noticed 4 Wii's stacked in the entrance, and then 3 boxes which appeared to contain 4 Wii's a piece. All was quiet, I was the ONLY one in the store and the parking lot was empty when I left. If you want to try your luck I can give you a phone number. Again, they probably have 10 or 11 Wii's right now. So ya send me a PM or if you want I can just post the number and or directions on here. Email me if you want cameronmar@gmail.com (Shipment came in at NOON on a WEDNESDAY for future reference and btw it was FedEx i seen the truck driving out as i pulled in).
Oh this was the GameStop in Mt. Pleasant. I noticed a "Midland, Michigan" poster earlier this week. This is only 30 - 40 minutes from you tops. I'd go right now.
I just spoke to Gamestop on Brodie Lane and they just received some Wii consoles in this morning, they are going fast. My wife is on her way to pickup one. It's about time.
Looking for a Wii? I'd like to interview you for an article
Hey there,
I am on the hunt for a Wii myself and have become fascinated with this online community. I work for a Florida newspaper and would like to write an article about the Wii hunt. Would anyone like to speak to me about their search?
Send me a message or email htravis (at) sptimes (dot) com
Saw the posts above about some GameStop's getting some in today, so I decided to call the one closest to me - eureka! They had some here too. I asked the guy how many, to get an idea of how fast I needed to go - he replied, "Uh, enough." Between that and some comments while I was in the store, I got the distinct impression they had a lot of them.
The GameStop I called and finally got my Wii at was at 10th & Market (in the Gallery). Literally just got back to my desk to write this.
Good luck all - don't give in to the scalpers!
PS - This was not a pre-order.
