That's a tough one. You may want to call your Target store a day or two before and ask if they know how many they will be getting. Some stores will tell you, some won't. Still, if you can, it won't hurt to get there as early as you can, even if it's 2 hours before, just to ensure you get one...

I live in the boondocks of Western MD. 21502 is the zip is there anyway to find out if there are any in the area??? I spent the entire day today calling walmarts and targets within an hour's drive. I cant find one.

I am not a kid and don't have any kids and everyone at work was telling me how much fun the Wii is and how there are games I would like to play on it. I had just bought a 40 inch flat panel HD TV in January so I decided to check on a Wii. I called several stores in my area Target,Walmart,Best Buy,Circuit City and even K-Mart. My friend said Target had them for 249 and I called 2 of each stores by me. Then I remembered Toys R Us. They told me that Sunday they were going to have it in there ad and were getting some in. I asked how many and he said 54.

So this past Sunday I got there around 9:30 and they opened at 10:00. I was told oh you'll get one your like number 50. I did the bundle deal and I am glad I got one. It is alot of fun.. But they went fast. People are saying to me you got a Wii how did you get one? A girl at work said to get Dance Revolution that it is fun but they were out of it so I bought Guitar Hero. I love the songs it has. But I got Mario Olympics with it and the extra remote has the Wii Play 9 games. But I only did Bowling and tried golf. It is a lot of fun.. I also pre ordered the Wii Fit. I made a Mii but don't really undertsand it all yet... But it is hooked up to my internet.. I want a couple more games but I am used to old school games like Pacman and Donkey Kong and Centipede, Qbert, Pinball. I used to have an Atari 2600 LOL!! I don't know about some of these games there more for kids but there is quite a few I will like. Rose

Yeah, I'm like you, no kids and definitely NOT a kid myself I already got a Wii in February at a Meijer store, but I went to the Toys 'R Us here in Indianapolis this past Sunday at around 10:45am just to reserve the Wii Fit, and there was still a line inside the store for Wii consoles. The cashier told me, though, that if I did want to get in the back of the line, I would be able to get a console, as they had received something like 83 of them. Sounds like at least the quantities coming in to stores are increasing...

found some at a target near me, in so cal (san B) and i wish i had bought one because they sold FAST once people saw them in there (within 24 hrs)

do you guys know if target will get an early shipment and sell them before the sales date?

if your talking before sunday, like saturday or friday...i would think not because didnt the ad say the wiis is for sunday? they would be like charged with false advertisement, right?

but then again i would call your target just to be sure.

right now in my area (mira mesa san diego, CA) at friday i called target and i asked them are you guys gonna have wiis this sunday. she responded, " No, we're not, well not that we know of. "

have you tried calling other targets in your area?

i called 4 Targets within a 5 mile radius in my area (Torrance, CA)

and 2 out of 4 said "they should have some coming in.... at least they were told that they had some"

1 sales woman was very rude and told me that "There's no point in me redirecting you to electronics because we're not allowed to release that information." then hung up on me.

actually i called like 3 targets. believe it or not they all said, "no we dont have it/we dont know."

even though they claim they dont know, they WILL still HAVE them right?? please respond, tommorow morning is the moment of truth!!!

Good luck I hope you get one. I just happen to decide I wanted one last week and as I was calling around Toys R Us told me oh it's going to be in our Sunday ad. And I said really do you know how many your getting in and he said 54. They opened at 10:00 and I got there late due to bad weather it was about 9:30 and there was a line inside and someone said I was #50 that I would get one. I expected a camp out or alot more people but maybe it was cause of the bad weather I don't know. But I got lucky!! Rose

Make sure you check Wal-mart on Saturdays! I called good ol' Wally on Saturday and they said they will be passing 9 Wii's at 12:01 A.M. Sunday. Stood in Line 2 Hours and BAM Finally got one! They said Wal-Marts were doing this everywhere..so just FYI!

When I went to Walmart today they handed me an ad and there it was in the ad. I went in there to get a co worker Carnival Games which she couldn't find anywhere by her house and that is where I bought mine. I asked if they had any Wii's and they said oh we didn't get any in.. I have another girl at work wanting one and I was going to let her know if they had one.

Wal-Marts in NW Chicagoland are getting them in saturdays and selling them Sunday mornings... i waited an hour till they opened at 8am and they were all 10 were gone in a half hour.

Circuit city said they same, but Wal-Mart was closer.

at target you can get one for 250 dollars

Any way to find out if any store in Ohio is getting any in, mostly north-east ohio , by cleveland. Most of the stores are clean out of them, and when they get them in, they are gone within a day.

That website is your friend. You'll be able to find some Wii's there. Granted they'll cost a bit more.

for those still on the hunt, toy's r us has the wii console listed in their ad for march 30-april 5. if by that time you still havent found any, i suggest going to toy's r us early sunday morning before the store opens.

i got this info from cheapassgamer forum. thanks to them i was able to buy a wii last sunday at target when someone posted that they'll be having wii's in stock on march 16. i went early, there were no lines, and they had a bunch of wii's on display. although it might be a different situation at toy's r us since it's a toys and games store as opposed to target where people don't usually go to buy games so just to be sure, get there early.

Target in the Chicagoland Area had some (the Broadview store to be exact) that is where I got mine at about 10:30am today. No one was in that department waiting or anything. So apparently they didn't know they would have them. I'm also very sure that, that stores demand for something like that is lower then say the Target in Yorktown (which is a mall area) would have been.

I went to Toys R Us before I stopped at Target (actually Target was the 3rd store I tried) and they told me at Toys R Us that they would have the Wii's on March 30th. So I would definitely suggest trying them early to see if you can get one. Thanks again to this forum. That's how I found out about Target having them today. I assumed (and you know what assuming does ) that Best Buy and Toys R Us would have gotten some in today as well but not the case. If you are in the Chicagoland Area I would definitely try Target (Broadview store especially since no one was there waiting).
