Any way to find out if any store in Ohio is getting any in, mostly north-east ohio , by cleveland. Most of the stores are clean out of them, and when they get them in, they are gone within a day.

That website is your friend. You'll be able to find some Wii's there. Granted they'll cost a bit more.

for those still on the hunt, toy's r us has the wii console listed in their ad for march 30-april 5. if by that time you still havent found any, i suggest going to toy's r us early sunday morning before the store opens.

i got this info from cheapassgamer forum. thanks to them i was able to buy a wii last sunday at target when someone posted that they'll be having wii's in stock on march 16. i went early, there were no lines, and they had a bunch of wii's on display. although it might be a different situation at toy's r us since it's a toys and games store as opposed to target where people don't usually go to buy games so just to be sure, get there early.

Target in the Chicagoland Area had some (the Broadview store to be exact) that is where I got mine at about 10:30am today. No one was in that department waiting or anything. So apparently they didn't know they would have them. I'm also very sure that, that stores demand for something like that is lower then say the Target in Yorktown (which is a mall area) would have been.

I went to Toys R Us before I stopped at Target (actually Target was the 3rd store I tried) and they told me at Toys R Us that they would have the Wii's on March 30th. So I would definitely suggest trying them early to see if you can get one. Thanks again to this forum. That's how I found out about Target having them today. I assumed (and you know what assuming does ) that Best Buy and Toys R Us would have gotten some in today as well but not the case. If you are in the Chicagoland Area I would definitely try Target (Broadview store especially since no one was there waiting).

I bought one 2 days ago on eBay, brand new, total cost was $295 including shipping, not to bad.. I assume if you buy one at a retail store, it comes out to about $275 with tax right? So i paid an extra $20 lol, for not having to look in stores or wait in line. Im so surprise i got it so cheap on eBay, i got lucky and people didnt see it i guess, since all other Wii were going for about $330+ on ebay.

Im still looking for a wii. I call All the local stores in my area and i get the same excuse: "I dont know" Here is the list of stores i call:

3 Targets- All dont know
3 Wal*Marts - They say MAYBE Tuesday.
1 Toys R Us- Yelled "We arent allowed to give out that information so Im not going to bother forwrding you to electronics." Then hung up.
2 Best Buy's - "We havent got a shipment in over three weeks and dont know about the next one." Then hung up.

So either Nintendo Wont allow the stores to tell you the next shipments, Or the stores are afraid of long lines.

That is crazy!! Why can't they at least tell you? When I was calling around that it was going to be in there Sunday ad and I even asked how many they were getting in and they said 54. Good luck in getting one..

Where I live there's tons. Anywhere in Toronto there should be Wii's. Just check store websites regularirly.

Two reasons they don't tell you:

1) They are clueless clerks who don't know anything and are tired of people asking them when Wiis are coming in.

2) They are slimy clerks who pull out a half the Wiis from every shipment and hold/hide them for some friend who buys them all and in turn sells them on ebay for $100 profit. How do you think all those ebay sellers get them? They are not authorized Nintendo dealers. They scoop em all up using contacts they have in the various stores.

Hi all, I've been looking for a Wii for a while, and I am now ready to go out and get one.
Can anyone confirm that ToysRus will be getting a shipment in Sunday, March 30? I saw that in a previous post, but have seen nothing else on it.
If it's true, I know I'm heading there Sunday and getting one.

I got my Wii console fairly easily yesterday. I live in the Washington DC area, and noticed a post about someone finding a Wii while searching for stores opening earlier than others at bizcron. The method worked for me. Here are the specific steps I followed:

1) At around 10 am on Sunday, I searched for "wii" at bizcron (http://www.bizcron.com/bus.do?q=wii).

2) The site listed a Gamestop opening minutes at 11 AM on Queens Chapel in Hyattsville. Called them when they opened at 11 AM. They did not have any, but the guy I spoke with directed me to the gamestop in Prince Georges Plaza which he thought had a shipment that came in Saturday night.

3) The bizcron site showed the Prince George Plaza gamestop opening at noon. I got there a few minutes before noon, and sure enough, they had it. I picked up a new Wii Console, and a tiger woods golf game for $289 plus tax.

Hope the above helps someone looking for a wii console.

@keenum: i suggest you check the ad online before the store opens on sunday. i think they post the ad at midnight. i got mine at target and i also got the info from the forum that i got the toys r us tip. at first i was also skeptical so i checked the target website after midnight and sure enough the wii was listed on the ad.

anyway here's another tip, circuit city also has the wii listed for the march 30-april 5 ad. info i got says only 10 wiis per store. good luck!

Looks like they both (toysrus and Circuit City) open at 10. Earliest I'll be able to get there is a little after 11.
Hopefully they won't sell out too quick and I can snag one.

ok so ive been calling like crazy to over 35 stores in Los Angles who might have Wiis from Gamestops to Targets to Sears and Walmarts and nothing...does anyone know whether any stores tend to get wiis during the week or anyone got any inside info on stores here in L.A. Also would it be better to try to get a Wii at Circuit City or Toys R Us this sunday... i really want one and i just wanna make sure i get one so if anyone knows how many people usually show up to the stores or whethere thye sell out fast i would really appreciate it THX in advance. You all Rock ^_^

I would say Toy's 'R' Us, if you can get there a couple hours early. I know the last time they got Wiis in, they got a decent amount (40+)...

Circuit City is suppose to get 10, and a friend of mine that works there says they usually go pretty fast, though it's not as bad as it used to be (but I guess it depends on where you live).

i got these info from game forums. it's how i was able to buy my wii. i think most of the guys who post these info probably know someone who makes or prints the ads so they find out in advance.

since circuit city will supposedly only have 10, i suggest toys r us would be a better option. i think how fast the wii sells depends on where you live. when i got mine at target there were about 30 wiis and only around 4 people including me who were waiting before the store opened.
