You'd better your chances of course! I am grouping with 4 people this sunday, we're planning on hitting 2 seperate target and walmart locations... out of 4 locations our chances are at least somewhat better at getting at least 1 wii.

This site sucks, only lists ebay, overstock and amazon auctions which are all asking over $500! Why pay $500-$700 for a wii if you can camp for a few hours and get one for $249.99?

I am really hoping for a wii before christmas, im wandering if anyone from the uk can tell me how to get one

I'm determined, just wanting to know how everyone got theirs, pre-ordering doesnt seem like an option but im not sure...I really want one before christmas and really hope someone can help me.

Will K-mart get them? I'm thinking that people might be overlooking K-marts since they're kinda disappaering, but it might be a good way to get a Wii. I don't think anyone shops there anymore.

The information I gathered at my local K-Mart gave me a hint that they're not exactly the first store to go to for Wii Hunting...but you never know what could happen. My local said it is just like the XBox 360 era for them again. They get all the games for the system but don't actually get this system until months later after the hype had died down.

I picked up a wii at target on 12/3. I arrived at 6:55am and was fortunate to be the last person in line to get one of the 50 they sold. I went back to the same target to pick up a wavebird controller and they had 4 remotes in stock on 12/10.

I need a Wii so badly that I am going crazy. This website is a big help (not being sarcastic) because of all the talk. It makes me feel like I sort of have one. I live in a suburb close to Chicago (one of the biggest cities in the U.S. for all you people that don't live here). Does anyone think I'll be able to just randomly walk into and random store on somewhere around January 5th and just get a Wii? Do you think it'll be earlier or later than that? Please help me out here I want an exact date as to when I'll get it!!!

Okay ill answer each question. 1. Yes we camp out, normally get there about 5am, most stores hand out tickets 1 hour before opening.2. theres a thing called the internet, rumors, and weekly adds, thats how we mostly know stores get them, oh and you can also call.3. The uk, i dont live ther but i here theres major shortages, so yah you probably have to camp out(maybe earlier. 4. What i can confirm is the wii kicks ass, and if you try somewhat in any way, you should get one, oh and ill hopefully be getting mine this sunday the 17th. BIG DAY BUDDY, try the stores in the UK!
