My local gamestop gets shipments in around noon so it wouldnt make much sense. They also claim to have no idea when they are receiving Wii's in stock. So camping out there would be a big crapshoot. You should stick to sunday with best buy or target.

The manager at my GameStop said he would be selling them on Sunday the 17th. I'm going to go back over there and see if I can figure out their camping policy and if they'll be distributing tickets and what not.

it depends on where they are located... if in a mall, tough luck, if in a shopping plaza, depending how security is... our game stop... you can camp out forever!

update on Nintendo World Store, NYC
Apparently the word has gotten out so it's a LOT worse now.
I got there at 4:30AM and i was the 210th person on line. From the people there I learned that the first people started camping out 6PM the day before. The last people to get a ticket for a wii today started lining up around 1AM.
Of course it's unseasonably warm in NYC lately so that might add to the crowd. But in general be forwarned: line up at MIDNIGHT if you want to be guaranteed a wii at Nintendo World. At least according to today. It may get worse as the days til Christmas go down.
Oh and needlesstoday, I didn't get a wii. They only get around 100 give or take 20 each day.

yup thats why i did it last week on friday when the temperature droped to 10 lol. word is getting out and desperate people are doing desperate things.
however the truth is eb games is getting a lot and they are barely selling them at some locations. next week is the big week for everyone. they are going to just dump the stock on people. best buy annoucned it already, i just called up 5 local eb and gamestop places and they all said the same thing, to check next week because thats when they think they going to let it out for xmas. the nintendo world is crazy only 100 a day. i got there at 3am and was 60 at 10F weather. imagine 60F weather forget it thats enought o have 500 people at 11pm the day before lol.
good luck!
poison when did you go?

I went this morning. I just got into the office. I only work a few blocks away though. Lining up at midnight for something that opens at 8am is a bit to ridiculous for me though. I'll just wait until I can get it through normal means.

Yea, i'm thinking Target too just because it says they'll have more in stock than best buy. You don't think it'll be nearly as bad as launch day will it? Because i'm kinda paranoid and feel like i should start camping out at around 2~3am.
