from what I keep hearing and experiences of working in retail most pleaces get their shipments sat night/sunday morning. So everyone is saying the 16 to the 17th. That's when I am going to go.

Just found a stock load of wiimotes and nunchucks @ target, picked up 2 of each to complete my set, Looks like they had all accessories in stock when a few days ago they only had one sling backpack thing on the shelf. I got the last nunchucks but there were at least 10-15 more remotes.
No consoles though, actually didn't ask but there were none on the shelf.
This was in Austin, TX @ ih35 North/45 location

I just called the best buy in Boston (near Fenway) and the employee told me that they're definetly getting a shipment that will be sold on Sunday (the 17th). So basically it looks like people will be camping out on late saturday/early sunday. The employee also said that every best buy is guaranteed to have the Wii in stock for Sunday, but the number of Wii's shipped will depend on the store. Hopefully this clears some things up for you guys, and happy camping!

i get these wii alerts on my email, which i started up on nintendo.com, and they said that each bb will have a MINIMUM of 40 consoles.

my dad said that the local best buy refuses to let anybody camp out... soo should i like sit in the car all night and then run in the morning haha or?? go to a different store... target and best buy are next to each other and EB is like a few stores down but inside the mall. so i guess ill park my car real early in front of the store at the closest parking spot and then ill wait until best buy opens or if a line does decide to form.. and then if i dont get one at best buy ill run to target right next door... and then hit eb if i dont get one at target haha.. i think im guarenteed a wii then.

oh ye athat's a great idea, no seriously. if you have a car, came out realy early. get there really early. park real close to the entrance. then, if a line starts for form get out and stay on the line for 30 minutes. then tell the people that if someone wants to warm up they can share the car, and go back to your car for a lil while. it works. and you get dips in the line for being the first few online.

well i have my permit lol.. so my dad will be with me. i plan on leaving my house at midnight saturday/sunday and sitting in the car probably off so i dont waste gas haha. and it will be parked in the first spot outside of best buy. which is conveniently also parked right in front of target too

Honestly, i have no clue what time to start camping. I'm planning on riding the T and seeing if the Fenway BB has people at around 11pm ish saturday. If people are already camped out, then i'll camp out too. But if i don't see a line or whatever, then i'll probably leave at around 2~4am Sunday morning.
Dunno about you guys, but a part of me thinks it would be freaking hilarious to be buzzed while waiting in line, i know it'd make my wait go faster...though i dunno if i'd stay awake.

i'm going to call my local BB, and figure if i can camp out, or not.
if not, do i go there and wait, and then run to the store, quickly?
