Oh, and before I went out to wait for two hours in the cold, I spent about 3 hours searching on the internet for confirmation/denial of Wii's in stock and coming up with very, very little. Some said one way, other's said another way. That is bullshit. My philosophy is now of the 360's last year: I'll get it when I get it. No more lame ass searching, and no more lies and deceit from Nintendo and all the companies of whom they ship their consoles.

360 will have a working motion control controller within one year. Somebody bet me they won't.
What was all this crap about Nintendo shipping 2 million consoles before December 31'st. I'm not buying that crap for one second. Most of the initial launch numbers in Columbia were 1/3 what Nintendo said they would be.
The only thing I'm searching for now is a ****ing explanation. Initially, I thought it might be greed, but if it was, Nintendo would have put shitloads of systems all over the country on black friday. It just boils down to lies. I hate being lied to, by Nintendo or the asswipe at BB or the cromagnon at toysrus.
Truth would have saved me and HUNDREDS of people in the toysrus line alone that were wanting a system on black friday. I guess I expected too much out of corporations, so my bad.

i just got back from my 35 minute drive out of town to get the wii. when i got there, there were 5 people outside of gamestop already. then, 5 minutes later the manager showed up and said, "you guys here for the wii?" yes, everysaid. "well, i got 3 so 1,2,3." F***ing BS! there were only 3 of them there on BLACK FRIDAY? i thought there would be at least 6-10. so, then i went to target 10 minutes after opening and the fight to electronics was ridiculous. i didn't see any wiis or anyone holding one up or anything. i don't even think they had any there. Walmart had nothing. What a big waste of time my morning was. Nintendo has really pissed me off. 4 million units to ship before the end of 06 is a lie. Like someone said earlier, i guess i'll just get one when i get one. the gamestop guy said they should be getting regular shipments of them after today though. what's that, 2 a week?

yeah i am getting pissed too. i got up at 5:30AM for the second time and went to a gamestop. they only had 5 units for sale.....needless to say, i was not within the first 5. The guy in line first had been waiting there since 2AM the previous night. (the guy who was third in line walked out very smugly and loudly decalred anyone could buy it from him for $500 and laughed like a dick. i thought of going all ps3 on him and buy it for a 5 knuckles discount, alas there was no chance of getting away with it.)
why in the sam hell is nintendo nickel and diming these things out like this? what is this 5 here....2 there bullshit?

I won't have time to play the Wii game when I go back to school so I am going to have to go for it this sunday. Do you think I am better off going to best buy or one of my local ebgames locations?
If I do go the bestbuy route how early should I get there? I remember the line for black friday was completly ridiculous!!

Well, I camped out at Best Buy last night after an employee on Wednesday told me they would have them in stock. I waited for a little over 12 hours and was 37th in line. Most of the people in front were talking about tvs and laptops so I knew I would most likely be able to get one. Well, fast forward 12 long, cold, sleepless hours. They ended up having 0 Wiis.
I now say fxck it. I am done searching for one. I will get one when they are fully stocked and I will never buy from Best Buy again. This whole day really burned me.

the line for black friday is a very unique line. there will not be another line like that for at least 1 one more year.
i don't know what's going on in your neck of the woods, but here in cali, BB is due to sell more on sunday. ebgames will not have anymore until next week. i suggest u call your local stores tomorrow and doublecheck for yourself though.
as far as how early to go...heck if i know. everytime i go out, i am always to late...so i fyou're gonna gamble better to play it safe and go earlier than you think, rather than later.

Hey ya'll,
If anyone has any Canadian stock Wii info, I'd appreciate that. I just called Futureshop, there response was "We have no clue" and then I called Toys R Us and they said "Oh, I think we're getting another shipment after Christmas. Best Buy just released 20 consoles per store today, but perhaps there some other hope.
Peace

Well...
Update for anyone who was wondering.
I got my wii, zelda, a couple other games, and an extra controller. Apparently nun chucks are also quite hard to find.
Wow I felt like I went through hell to get it. And I did.
I waited all night ............. except, a word of advice. DO NOT bother trying target, best buy, circuit city, walmart, etc...because their shipments are so random, and you'd be wasting your time (because I DID) where as places like......
Game Stop and EB games, Game Crazy only get a few in, but on a WEEKLY
basis. Its really rather a hit or miss kind of deal.
If you did NOT get one today, I'll guarantee any "Black Friday" stocks are OUT. I ran across town , discovering @ 2 am the best buy line was ridiculous (and by the way was not selling any ps3s or wiis) , discovering waiting in circuit city line was pointless (for 2-3 hours), discovering target had NONE.
SO.....I was like alright, I KNOW EB games has some. Except how many? There were 5-7 people ahead of me. And the manager arrived, and had a case.......how many is that you ask? ONLY 3.
So I hurried off to a game stop that wasnt as populated, and closer to my house. The manager at the previous told me that since it was a new store, bigger shipments than a single box of wiis, would be unlikely.
HOWEVER, the guy was WRONG. And I was 4th in line to get 1 out of 6 wiis.
This was at 5-6 am mind you.
All in all, if you want one without wasting your time, don't try hitting the huge retailers......when a game store near you probably is more likely to get them before the holidays.
Now within the next few weeks, shipments should start trickling in more rappidly......but no one knows when as you've heard.
Screw the department stores, stick to ebgames/gamestop/gamecrazy, and keep trying.

My best buy is running the recording that they have sold their stock of wii's and won't be getting any till nextweek. I am sure they are full of it and hopefully they will be getting some sunday. According to the phone they open at 10 A.M. sunday. I am trying to decide if it's worth getting up at 6 A.M. or so if people will really show up. I hate not knowing and waiting in line for nothing but I guess there is nothing I can do about it.

You could also check Amazon frequently, as they are sure to get some more stock. I got my wii today at Toys R Us - just went there at 5:05 am, no line, no wait, no problem. I went to Toys R Us after checking out the huge line at Best Buy at 4:55 am, and not wanting to deal with it. Best Buy is getting so much hype about the number of units they are supposedly getting, it seems like everyone is heading there, so my rec would be to go other places. GameStop is probably in tight with Nintendo since the wii did the mall tour at GameStop, and one of the managers there told me that they would be getting weekly shipments.

I also just talked to EBGames, they also have no clue when shipments are coming in, they said they just arrive at random times.
