Ok, so heres my pissed off story.
So last night at about 10 ( i posted this last night ) I drove around scoping out what kind of places had lines. EB Games had 3, best buy had a million, circuit city had none. So i said to hell with it. I'll go home, get some sleep and come back at 4 a.m. So i did just that.
I show up at eb games at 4 a.m. to find 12 people ahead of me for the wii, im thinking in my head "Great, no luck here" so i happend to ask one of the guys waiting in line how many was the estimated amount of consoles. He told me that the night before he had went into the store and the manager told him "We have 20 wii's and 9 ps3's in the back room right now, but im not allowed to sell them till friday" After i hear this i feel like i have a fighting chance to get one. So i sign my name on our little list of who got there first, im sure you all know what im talking about. So were waiting, 5 rolls around, nobody shows up to open the store, 6 rolls around...still nobody, 7 rolls around, the three employees and one manager. Same guy who previously told roughly 4 of the people there they had 20 wii's and 9 ps3's. So one of the guys asks the manager "How many systems do you have so we all dont waste our time if there isnt enough for us all". He just played the silent treatment on us and never gave us an answer. Finally we get word that they have 15 wii's and 7 ps3's. Im still relieved because im #13. Seconds later someone else asks...now its 7 Wii's and 0 PS3's. SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT! So we left pissed off and tried 4 other stores with no luck.
Heres the worst part about this, and the reason i will never buy from this eb games ever again.
There was a 13 year old kid with his 9 year old brother who camped out from 4:30 yesterday afternoon til this morning because they were physically told by the manager they had 9 ps3's in the back room waiting for them on black friday. They open up, he's the first person in, and he comes out in tears because they have no PS3's. Needless to say that set all of us off and we all started getting pissed and started calling the manager a liar. It may seem immature to say rude things to the manager, but you gotta think. This kid sat outside for over 12 hours in the cold because he was promised a system from the manager himself, come to find out the manager lied to him and didnt know how many systems they had, and for all we know there could have been 200 of them in the back room.
The only plus side, is i was camping out with a really cool group of people. all very friendly, some were drunk so it made for some funny things to watch
Maybe tonight i'll get lucky and find something, but im not expecting anything at all. I'll just wait i guess. Everyone is saying sunday for shipments but who knows. and supposedly there is a store here who is getting shipments each day because they are dealing with a bunch of vendors.

What are the chances of stores getting new shipments in on Saturday? Or do shipments only come in Mon - Fri?

I'm starting to get sick of the hunt and I might just take the easy way out and use ebay. I've already spent about 24 hrs of search-and-wait time and it's starting to feel pointless.
As much as I don't want to contribute to the scalpers, I feel like I'm just wasting time. I have everything I need except for the system (Zelda, remotes, nunchucks, classic controller, component cables), which is torturous.
EDIT!
I found one on Craig's List for $380, but it includes Zelda (which I have w/ receipt). If I can buy that this weekend, I'll be able return the Zelda I get from the seller to walmart and end up with a $326 wii. That's just $56 more (cause of tax at Retail). Now I must hope...

I caved in and went to eBay. The seller listed it in the wrong place for preschool games and I paid $200. It is a lot of fun.

No offense, but all you got was a chance of luck. Most of us are hitting bad luck streaks all day long.
I did the thing i said i wouldnt do tonight, which is go wii hunting. The last place i went was target, and as im walking in i see an employee walking out with two wiis. He comes back in and asks me if i need any help with anything and i say "Yeah i want one of those wii's you just walked out with" he laughs and says, sorry i have been waiting to take those home since launch day.
I give up. When im not trying to search for this thing, it will spring up and i'll get lucky. Its when i devote and waste time searching for it, that i dont find it.

last night (11pm) i drove by my local game stop and noticed there was no around.. i didn't think anyone would camp there. so this morning i decide to do a drive by around 4:30.. and i noticed some people were already there. i think there were 8 people in front of me.. by opening there were at least 20 people behind me. i was told there were going to be 6 to 7 wii's.. there were only 4. a group of friends (who couldn't speak english) grabbed all 4.
on the brightside, buy 2 games and get 1 free. i got 3 games and sold one to another person in lne.. so at least i got a game free. (now i have a couple games and no system.)
i guess i'll do the camping on sunday morning.. i think the best buy around my area will open at 9am on sunday.

Best buys i believe are just opening at the regular time.
Oh, i forgot to post this, i went to best buy earlier while i was searching, and i grabbed a couple cd's (DM & Jemini and Handsome boy modeling school) and walked over near the door to the back room. I look back and cant see any wii's. I thought i could make out a few though, but i wasnt sure. Then a employee walked by and asked what i was doing. So i told him i was looking at microwaves for my mom.
Im gonna be going to kingman, arizona tomorrow wich is a small town so maybe i'll get lucky there, although, chances are if its a small town they probably didnt get shit for shipments. maybe 3 or 4 at the most. Im really thinking about camping out sunday morning though. I'll just park my car, sleep and get out before the doors open.

I really don't agree with bad luck. If you have been given information, and are aware of what black friday really is...
then honestly. you shouldnt have a problem getting one.
set your alarm clock a little earlier

Chill
Guys, I used to be one of those "OMigosh, I have too wait in line at 8:00 at night to get a Wii before christmas" kind of people. Look at every single console, excluding the Xbox 360, and you'll find that each and every one was realeased around this time, and in order to get the hype up, and get people to buy games and Warantees and extra, unnessecary, excessories bundled with the system, then 2 weeks later , they have the console, the accesories, everything sold sepeartly, for a better price. Please, don't get me wrong, I want to get a Wii as soon as possible, but when every store i talk to says it will be on the shelves in a week, and I won't have to buy the extra accesories, I'll wait a week, save money, and spare myself the 12 hour lack of sleep. Just chill out, ask whichever store you like, such as eb games, target, or Walmart, and they'll tell you the same thing, it will be on the shelves in at most 2 weeks. Do you think Nintendo is stupid enough to make a system as cheep as the wii (in price terms, not quality), and not produce enough so that some people that want one can't get one? In order to make the demand higher they do this, and it works. People want it. Do youself a favor, wait, and find out in 2 weeks if i am right. If i am, i wil most definetly say "i told you so" to those who doubt me
