Was anyone at the NWS in NYC last night to get one this morning? I'm just wondering if I can get away with going there at 4AM instead of midnight.

Midak, I would say you have very little to no chance of getting one if you go at 4. I went last wednesday night and if you didnt get there by 1 you didnt get one.

Thats the problem. Im pretty sure toys r us makes you buy it by the bundle. But apparently a lot of the stores have been getting a lot of shit for that so maybe no??

I attempted to pop by at about 7:20 but of course I underestimated the campers and was about the 80th in line with only 21 Wii's at the store. I just wanted to know if anyone here has seen the lines in the EARLY mornings at what point do they begin to really grow?
In any case I was hoping to avoid a camp out since my parents probably would be slightly iffy about that. I know that people suggest before 1AM but I wasna't sure if anyone had any info on the bostonian lines.

hehe, looks like you were in the line at the Landmark Center BB. Well, i happened to be one of those 21 ppl (don't you hate me? ) but i waited my ass off for that thing. I went to the BB at 1:30am and was 18th in line so if that gives you any idea i hope it'll help. I will suggest that you make sure you call the BB if you plan on camping cuz the Landmark center BB was pretty good about letting ppl know how many units they had and when they were expecting the next shipment to come in. Regardless, if you have any more question feel free to ask since i am now a seasoned camper/squatter.

Hehe I got you beat. I waited in line from 6am till 8 am on Black Friday to get my first Wii at EBgames. I was 2nd in line, they only had 2 Wii's . I also could have bought the only PS3 they had but not interested in that. On December 6th I waited in line for 2 hours at Wal Mart in Minneapolis in 20 degree weather to purchase my second Wii. I was about 20th in line out of 30 Wii's sold. The second Wii is a Christmas present for my best friends two daughters in Seattle.

lol, respect. I would have camped out for black friday had it not been for finals, and i would have camped out for pre-orders had it not been near halloween (party). But the fact that you camped out twice is pretty sweet. I'm thinking about camping out again once i get a confirmed date of shipment arrival because i need an extra wii-mote and i think it'd be nice to have another Wii so i can leave one at home and take one back to college with me after the break (plus my father seems to enjoy the Wii more than i do ^^*).
That brings me to another note, anyone from the Seattle/Tacoma area? Tacoma preferably. Just curious as to how the shipments and waiting game has been for you guys. I was in Boston for school but now that i'm back home in WA, i'm kinda out of the loop as to how the stores are doing with their orders and shipments.

On saturday I went to toys r us, I ended up not getting one because they must of gave out too many tickets...
Anyway I was wandering If anyone knows any deliveries coming in to shops soon, my son really wants one, and i am willing to queue early in order to hopefully get him one within 2 weeks, and i think he accepts he may not have his biggest present at christmas...
But i would like to get atleast 1 week after or so, can anyone please give me any sort of tip offs? Anywhere where they may be having deliveries in soon.
All help much appreciated

you know what i learned from going at 330am and not getting one? go big or go home. id much rather go 2 hours earlier and get 1 than have the whole thing be a big waste of time, you know. It's like wrapping a big present: you may cut the paper where you think itll be just enough, but why risk it? cut a little more to be sure, otherwise you'll need to cut a WHOLE other big sheet of paper, jsut because you skimped out. just my theory.

Do you think I could get by with carrying a flask. I just don't see what the hell I'm going to do all damn night. How aggressive are people about moving up if you need to go to your car.

So basically there is no chance of purchasing a Wii system, not in a bundle for 250 on friday morning?

there's gonna be a lot of people camping out in San Francisco. I've checked it out every week since it launched and even followed through on some rumors. Every place I went (EB Games/Gamestop, Target, Best Buy, Circuit City) there was always someone there waiting for a Wii. The cold isn't keeping anyone away, especially this last week. A lot of people in SF didn't get a Wii because Target had sold only about 10 even though they said they have 30. So if you plan on camping in front of Toys R Us...get there EARLY...though there's no Toys R' Us in San Francisco anymore. I think even the San Bruno TRU is now a Baby R' Us but they just never took down the sign. You should call and double check on that one. Good luck! and get RAYMAN! It's THE COOLEST!

Ok, since I have never camped outside a store for anything, what do you guys do when you gotta take a leak? Don't tell me you piss on line because that won't fly at Rockefeller Center in NYC. Anyone know if they set things up to let people step off line and get back on at the NYC store?
