wow, this is suspenseful. I cant bear to miss another shipment. I hope wii seeker gets their facts straight tomorrow. And I hope toys r us will at least tell us how much the bundle will be. I have to pay with cash unlike most people who can just use credit cards. I dont really want to camp with more than i have to.

Argh I don't know. I called Toys R Us and they claimed that they had no idea when they would get shipments cause they don't get them by UPS or Fedex (or they do? dont remember). And the guy I talked to claimed they would just put them on the shelves when they get them...so does that mean there's no point in lining Friday (Thursday night) then??
ARGH.

I told my friend at work today about Toys R Us. She called them and they told her that only the larger stores in the Minneapolis metro are going to have Wii's on Friday, and they are bundles only.

Damn the bundles, but I'm considering it since as someone else mentioned earlier, some stores accept returns without receipts. I just do my grocery shopping at walmart for a while, and pay with Wii games.

On and breakerz tell me if you remeber who I am(Just wondering): I was the one with a yellow jacket with a bike helmet about two people behind the man with the MIT hat.
In any case getting back to relevant conversation: Can anyone confirm either Toys R' Us getting bundles only or can anyone tell me if another chain might by any chance be getting getting a shipment?

Hmm, well i do remember the MIT ppl considering they were just around the corner...and i think i might remember seeing you. If you happened to have sunglasses then yes, i remember seeing you (and the yellow jacket + bike helmet). I happened to be the first guy around the corner sitting with a laptop in his lap to use as a heater (works really well, plus i got 7~8 hrs on that thing). It was a cold camp and the more i think about it, the more i feel really lucky to have gotten one. Best of luck on finding a Wii, but i'd definetly suggest that you get some hardcore facts before deciding to camp out. Not exactly the best use of time if all your going on is a bit of hope and rumors. Happy camping!

I'm sure other stores will get at least 6 or 7 on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
I'm not going to Toys R Us anymore, can't afford the bundles.

I did it! I got to the NWS in NYC around midnight, they came out with tickets and I was number 76. Many more people showed up between then and 6AM but many got turned away. Based on how many there were behind me, they got about 200 or so in for today. They get them every day and they stated the amount varies. I suggest to anyone thinking of it, to get there no later than midnight, possibly earlier if you go Friday night. Once you get your ticket and hand stamped, you can leave the line and come back as long as the people around you are cool with it and know you were there. Many people came and went all night long to McDonalds and the Cafe accross the street. The line up is on 48th between 5th and 6th. Good luck!

I'm actually thinking of doing this... So when did you get your hand stamped? I hear they do that sometime between 10 pm and midnight. If they got 200 Wiis in and you were #76, couldn't you have come a lot later, like maybe 4 am or so? Did you guys just chill in McDonald's for like the whole night or only for food/bathroom breaks? I live in Jersey, so it's not as easy for me... I was thinking of coming at like midnight (or just before whenever they stamp your hand), get my hand stamped, make friends with the people around me, then maybe get some sleep for like 4-5 hours and come back. Is this possible or even feasible? I was there on Monday morning just driving around and talked to one of the last guys to get a Wii - he came at 4 am, and the store opens at 7 am, so that's not bad at all. Why wait for another 4 hours if you don't have to? So what would you suggest? Thanks!

You want to get your hand stamped, have some folding chair and maybe a blanket and maybe leave them there in your spot on line. No one will steal it. If you come at 4am, you may or may not get it. People that showed up at 4am today likely did not as they would have been near the corner of 6th Ave by that time. You could definitely catch some sleep on line or in your car but do not leave the line until you get your stamp and numbered ticket, which is what keeps your spot in line. Make sure you get back by 6 because that is when the whole line gets all their stuff together and moves forward just because they see the girl that comes around with more tickets and stamps at that time. For the most part, I stayed on line the entire time and it was not all that bad. I went to the cafe a couple of times and even walked over to 50th and broadway to go the duane reade. Bring something to read or a portable video game. People were even playing cards on tables in the line.
