i had pre ordered my wii with play.com in october. since i dont know when play.com will send my wii i pre orered today with Game and paid a £20 deposit and they guaranteed ill get the wii before christmas. How many here still have pre orders with play.com and does anyone think i should cancel my order with play.com otherwise im worried ill get 2 wii's instead of one

After i read this i decided i'd go check mine out for myself. I drove by and nobody was outside of mine. Although i did spot a car pulling into a spot and i could see the driver turn the car off and recline his seat. Probably gonna sleep there all night.

nintendo can go blow themselves...the only way this might be considered a successful launch is compared to the shit ps3 launch.

Aparently someone didn't get a Wii at launch? I myself did not buy one at launch because I don't have enough money, but after I sell my airsoft gear and christmas I'll have $400 or so to spend on Wii. I myself think Nintendo had a great launch considering you hear alot about people getting there just early in the morning and still getting there hands on one, this is why Wii is only $400-$500 on eBay, yes I know the low price of $250 contributes to this, but thats only a $150-$250 profit, this is because it wasn't all that hard to get your hands on a Wii and the US gets restocked with what is it supposed to be, 200,000 every week? I myself they did themselves one helluva launch, and it's looking like one helluva follow through.

GAHH can't find them anywhere. I live in the Nashville, Tennessee area and I thought they were getting a new shipment in today but aparently not.

It's true, they are pretty much sold out everywhere, I've called at least 20 stores already, none in stock, and no clue when they're getting more, very depressing, the wii is amazing (I played it yesterday with some friends for 7 and a half hours, pure fun every minute) so I can hardly wait. It was huge laughs watching everyone try to do these activities such as Tennis, and Rayman. We even got my friends parents into it, they were amazed.

I went to Best Buy in Edina, MN at about 5am this morning and there were about 9 people in line. The line didn't max out until about 6:30 or 7am.

Finally got a Wii. Oh Joy!

Nice, i live in bloomington, MN and the eagan one filled up at around say 8:00, right before i got there, i was 41st in line out of 40 wiis. Now i gotta wait for the next shipment to come...

Wow, that really sucks man. I'd be super pissed if I was a couple minutes from getting a Wii. I myself am just hoping my mom can get her hands on a Wii for Christmas, if she doesn't manage to get one I'll just have to wait a couple of weeks is all. Good thing for my recently found patience

On Black Friday my local ebgames said they'd have Wiis in for sure, so I got up at 6am and waited in line only to find out at 6:45 that they wouldn't receive any until Tuesday.

Called my Best Buy yesterday, said they receive shipments at random. Today I decided to show up anyway at 9:40, 20 minutes before they open. I was 26th in line of 40 Wiis. Over 50 people standing in line before it opened. Good luck if you're still searching, I was tempted to eBay but the thought of giving those bastards my money was enough.

Best buy in Costa Mesa CA had 40 this morning (sunday). the associate said people were lined up from 6am :-x

Mr.Herron - I've been following your messages as I am from Vegas too... I found mine today at BestBuy in Summerlin. It seems to be a high-volume BestBuy. I got there at 8:30am and was number 28 in line for 60 consoles. They handed out tickets around 9:15am for the 10am opening. I'd try them again next Sunday if you are still looking... Now the quest is on for wiimotes...

I went to my local best buy at about 5 45 (opens at 10)
i was number 7 out of the 42 people to get a wii
it was worth it to go early to avoid long lines though

Anyone know any other stores scheduled to get some new shipments? I talked to a guy at Gamestop and he said they expect more shipments in 1 or 2 weeks, but said they could arrive at any time. Also Toys R Us seemed to have some available online, but I don't really want a bundle, but maybe their stores will get some. I'll call them tomorrow also.

11 of 42!! Finally got it! I went at 6AM and waited til 9AM at bestbuy.
No nunchuks though...

There were 30 people in line by 7:30 Thanksgiving evening. I'll bet there were
100 by Friday morning. There were about 12 Wiis.

yeah, I was surprised at the small amount of people in line.
More than half of the line came after 7:30

Yep, i waited at a gamestop friday morning from 3-7. I was second in line...other guy was there since 11 or so. The store opened at 7:00 and they had six Wii's.

I still don't have one!
