Classic controller compatible with new games?

hi, yesterday i bought the wii, and i was just wondering if the classic controller could be used with the new games that were designed for wii, like the new zelda and madden 07?

If there is symbol on the top right hand corner on the back of the case has the classic controller pictures then you can play with it but most game don't have it
