On second thought, no DVD whatsoever. DVD's are for DVD Players, not consoles. Blu-ray would add 200+ to the system price.
Yeah, thats why there would be a better version and a lesser version. Obviously, you would pay more for the better one. And by the time a new system comes out, Blu-ray devices will go down in price, just like DVD players did.

Wow. Thats pretty cool. I think I might download that software and try it myself. I will do that first thing when I get home.
EDIT: Haha snow day!! I'm gonna try it out now and see if i can get it working!

AWSOME!! I just got it working on my computer and it is amazing. I had to download and install the DirectX Software Development Kit (SDK) to get it working though, but once that was installed it worked perfectly!!

i think the next console should be able to detect your position and distance away from your tv. i was disappointed with wii sports when i found out you couldn't run around

Though something that should be included if they keep up with the VC idea: Have an option to type in the serial number on the system so you don't have to pay another $___ for the game thats probably already in your room.
ohh definately add in some more features, but not too extreme though i like the idea of it playing movies.
Maybe instead of just an SD card, it could also have blank discs or hell... floppys so you can transfer them onto the computer. /picky
