Your opinion of good games doesn't have any say in who "dominates the industry" The only thing that matters is profit. And sorry Nintendo has that by a long shot. Beyond that the software sales for the top ten sold games "minus Wii sports even, I'll give you that for the fact that it comes with the consoles everyware but Japan" is better than Xbox's software sales, Specialy when you go based on time frame on the market.
You might not want to count Wii Play, but sorry it made money. Maybe Xbox should have included a free controller or headset with Halo 3 to sell more?

Even minus Wii Sports and Wii Play and add in Wii Fit on "the next on the list at 1.8 million". The Wii ends up with a total of 34.44 million with it's top 10 in only 17 months on the market, Killing PS3 and just barely trailing 360.
Not bad at all considering the next closest is the 360 when it has over a year advantage and the highest selling games for it came out well past it's 17 months on market compared to the time Wii/PS3 has been on the market.

You want to get real? We can break it down month to month and see how the 360 stacks up to the PS3 and Wii in the first 17 months on market as they are at now, and you will be sad to see the results.

WOW close your eyes fan boys! Let the truth be told! I really think this is going to turn into a bad dream for the HD guys as they will seem to be left as the only guys really straining to buy all these games. My reason for this is all of the sudden rise in demands for the xbox 360 then suddenly no one is buying it. Then fans claim it is selling more games. Thats cool but I know lots of people who have 4 cars and only two people driving them. Face it the Hd guys are milking the hardcore way more than most people say nintendo is short changing it's players.

It's been like that since nvidia replaced voodoo! Yet at least nintendo gives you some thing fun to play along with the fact that their market has way more variety and it is actually able to support all of it's markets if 3rd parties show up. People complaining about 5 dollar VC games are really being petty though when we all know lair and a ton of other beautiful looking and horrible boring games are on the shelves for the HD systems.

But you know what wait a minute have you guys noticed how the list of good games are really falling short of the years before? This effects most systems actually and if it was not for online play what you would really be playing? So you end up with a lot of angry gamers with hopes totally smashed. Maybe it will be better next time around?

I'm hoping Wii-Ware/Xbox Live Arcade/PlayStation Store will revive gaming with the Indie and small time Developers comming up with new ideas. So far #3,4,5,6,god forbid 7 of the same series isn't enough for us long term gamers. It would be cool if i never played 1-6 already but 7 of any game no matter how good it looks or how new the controller interface is still is going to be a boring game to me! We need some good new ideas, hopefully these services are just the ticket.

You better get started because you have lots of work to do. HD game is headed for the same faith as PC gaming... starts with a bang then bored that only online gaming can fix and then there is the price... Which equals the Wii winning and if the Wii ever gets a bunch of brave develops how can actually make real old school classic game play with new IPs then It may very well be over. I mean really I would rather most of the stuff done in 2d on conceptart.org be made for the Wii in 2d. Now that would totally crush the HD mess and even 3d in my book.

I mean look at smash brothers... Imagine if you could play contra online in multi teir levels in a capture the flag type of game yet in 2d? I remember a mod called quake 3 2d that did this and it was great too! But hey I guess I understand why people are tired of hearing this. The Wii does not represent the best that gaming can offer in your eyes. The same happens when a band goes pop. Basicly you should stop reading these articles because the masses will always feel like your version of the best may actually suck for some reason. The same happened with the GC and the xbox and even the PC. The hardcore still love them yet the other people and gamers look at your like it's so boring.

If you really are a gamer hardcore player then you should know it's always been this way. I mean if you are a fanboy before the whole PS2 thing then you know history repeats a lot.
This seems to be pretty hard for people to understand but It's always been this way. Hell I actually liked the PC engine and neo-geo way better than both the snes and genesis. Yet one cost way more and the other just did not have support from other developers. Hell I'm still buying and playing those games. Because of this type 2 games and PC games and gear is what I'm really into since I get the game play and types of games I want along with the fun and challenge. Hey but that last part is just me. Yet some how little ol me is really liking the Wii along with people that have totally different tastes. Really thats the key. It's like the jordan effect back when the NBA was fun to watch. Even if you where a fan of another team people always came to see jordan play. Right now the Wii is a lot like that. You may like another team but people love what the Wii is bring even though the online gamers and FPS represent the vocal gamer presents online in game forums.

yes, from a gamer's view, since wii play sold more than call of duty 4, it is a better game? take a deep breath and stop looking at sales numbers cause they dont affect you as much as you think so. and dont call me a fanboy cause you obviously dont know what one is.

This isn't about the gamers view, This is about who is dominating the industry. If we were gonna have a depate about the gamers view it would go no where because that all has to do with personal taste and everyone would look at it from there own perspective.

You get the title of fanboy because

1.You don't count anything sold by Wii that you don't personally see as fair?

2.You count everything sold by 360 even outside a matching time line compared to the Wii/PS3? Thats not how it works sorry

3.You think your personal opinion of game quality is the deciding factor in the industry leader?
