Exactly, although its a "new game" it is still the same crap that we have been playing for the last 10 years with a new story.

If it wasn't for the Wii's waggle, ps3/360's improved graphics, and alot more online play that last round you would not be able to tell the differance between now and last gen.

We haven't seen some all amazing ground breaking game in some time. It's all Recycled crap with new weapons,characters, and story. Bio shock is probably my favorite for a newer concept this gen, even so it's a tweaked old idea not a new game. I'm still waiting to be impressed and it doesn't look like the major publishers are going to do that for me so I'm looking forward to the indie games.

Bioshock was the best improved gameplay wise so far, most the other FPS on the market are nothing new.

Nintendo did a fantastic job of expanding up the Gaming market. Hardcore gamers will buy there High spec consoles because of software and gaming experience. But the jewel in the crown was Nintendo opening the market to all those that pre Wii launch would not even consider the notion of playing a video game in their dreams never mind go and buy one. Whats left to do now is Sony and/or Microsoft to roll in there and convert these casual gamers. The chance is there but whether they go ahead and take it is another thing.

WOW that is so true and even the graphics are being ignored just like the PC. It's funny how HD console owners will say hey crysis takes $4000 dollar to run then they choose the dell and HP of the console race. Hey it's all opinion and I know you guys WANT your PS3 to over come the xbox and the xbox to come back on the Wii. But i'm sorry GTA4 sold crazy numbers and the Wii still sold more consoles WTF? Has every one bought their HD system it seems like it doesn't it? The system sales are even worst over in japan for both HD systems. This is the land of tech freaks! They love the stuff. Hell they had HD tv forever!

Hey we use to root for the neo geo back in the day and the dreamcast also. Maybe we will get these great games you guys speak about all the time on the Wii 2 VC! I mean dang the xbox 360 has already lost a lim in that whole HDdvd thing. The only way that the core gamer can remain important is to buy two of every thing which is what is happening in most cases...LOL All I have to say is MGS better sell it's ass off. Gears better do crazy numbers and killzone 2 better smack the COD4 out of peoples mind.

You guys need to spread the word about what is actually good and why because lots of gamers are just as bored even after playing GTA4. You guys are concentrating on telling people the Wii sucks....LOL While Wii players are inviting people over to play games. Screaming what you want will just make you look foolish when so far the numbers say damn the other guys are getting crushed! I mean really a 2-20 k lead over the xbox is a freaking shame. SONY was the market leader! There are games on the wii out selling the HD consoles. The game cost $70+ too! There is no excuse for that. Hey but keep on saying things will change. Maybe they will and sony will drop the price again maybe not. Xbox needs to figure out how to make their own games seriously they are dead in the water.

Gears of War featured over the top gore and a revolutionary cover system. Now like, almost every shooter starting up as a cover system.

It was also one of the best looking games I have ever seen.

So will you be buying the next one? To me crysis is the best I've seen gears did not even use ALL of the UT engine it was more of a normal mapping bench mark for consoles. I have to asked the question and I've said this before. What happen when gamers are use to these graphics? Hell every game can look this good now. What happens when you become use to this?

I remember when UT2004 came out we loved it and played it for months. Then stuff started to seem broken and boring. The game lacked stuff that was found in later FPS like speed. People stopped playing it. Then Doom4, UT3 all fell to the same criticism it's the same but worst in the game play department. How is the PS3 not going to suffer the same problem? Killzone2 has and uses post frame rendering effects so does after effects. You take a z depth of the frame and apply a blur to it based on the shade of it. Rainbows in light work just like lens flairs you can just use sprites. This type of stuff does not take huge amounts of power.

I just wondering when the HD guys will start making games for the rest of us? A battle toads in 3d would be cool a strider would be sweet also. Contra 4 in 3d! oR BETTER YET JUST SOME MiND BLOWING 2D GAMES. There are some coming to the PS3 yet no one every talks about them. It's a fighting game also that has animation like a animated movie in HD. There are some shooters also but I don't think you guys are in to those thing am I right? To most of you the Wii lacks stories, and high end art. It is not the game play because most of you don't like the stuff on the VC, it has tons of game play. What happens when they find away to do both? You don't need a lot of power to tell a really good story or have great art.

gears1 came out in 2006 and was one of the first to really push the ut3 engine, give it a break. the ut3 engine was new at the time.

It's because the wii is awsome, even though the 360 has some nice graphics as well as the ps3, the wii has the kind of real picture added on to the playing, but Nintendo better get on their feet before sony or microsoft creates their own "wii" which would probably have some pretty sweet graphics.

i think the wii is great half the price of a ps3 and such games as super smash bros brawl ( which ive had since march 18 cough cough) it will definitely dominate heck im writing this on my on wiinternet

I think that it will be interesting to see how it continues to unfold. Wii's are cheaper than the 360 and PS3, and I think it also has the best games to boot! Not only that, there is so much change in the Wii from the gamecube. With the PS3 and 360, it seems there's just better graphics and that's about it.

The only thing Sony and microsoft have had to look foward to really is Metal Gear Solid 4 and Gears of War 2. I think Microsoft will just go downhill since the halo series has ended. Wii will dominate this year I think. I'm looking forward to the new star wars game more than anything else for the wii.

There a lot more games that Sony and Microsoft as well as gamers are looking forward to.
