What if Nintendo released a more powerful Wii?
The Wii remote technology is perfect for FPS games, however, FPS games are traditionally top of the line, graphically demanding games. Now that Nintendo has had wide success with the Wii, do you think they might release a more powerful Wii to draw in fans of the progression of video gaming graphics? Because, frankly, I think Nintendo's claim that they believe video game graphics are at the appropriate level, right now, is just a false claim to backup their decision to not invest in powerful hardware out of fear they might fall into debt.

Ninty could give a coupon to every person who already has a Wii that wants the new one and they could just trade in there old Wii for the new one for like $50 or something. (Not that will ever happen though)

If they were to make a more powerful one then they better do what he said. I would be P-I-S-S-E-D if they didn't.

They won't change things till next gen in terms of better visuals, they could release that rumored DVD capable Wii, but no enhanced ones.
Plus theres no need really as Metroid Prime 3 shows the potential is there for FPS games on Wii, as the controls and visuals in that game were superb.

Haven't played it yet, and I probably won't be for a while seeing that I'll want to play the other two Metroid Primes I haven't played, first. I haven't been impressed with the Medal of Honor graphics on the Wii, though.

You'd rather use a PS3 controller than a Wii remote and Nunchuk for an FPS?

I rather use the controller over the Wii mote for games. It's fun for a while, but in the end I rather use the controller. Especially for online games.

There isn't, exactly. I'm assuming Metroid Prime: Corruption is good, though, but that's not the typical FPS. I presumed when you said you were getting a PS3, that that was over my hypothetical "more powerful" Wii. Would you still want a PS3 over a Wii capable of running PS3/360 style FPS games?

I find the opposite. I find the Wii Remote & Nunchuk setup relaxing. With a traditional controller, you're forced to keep your hands in the same position throughout gameplay. With Wii's setup, you can relax your hands and arms and position them in various ways which might more suit your comfort.

FEAR is old and cod4 isn't that demanding actually.
I don't get a very good frame rate in cod4 and ut3. . . . it sucks for online.

I thought FEAR was more computer intensive than COD4. I could be wrong, though.
