So my Wii is mounted horizontally (shouldn't make a difference) but when I play games with it, it can never start out with a disc in the machine other wise it fails to even load the game 85% of the time. It also always makes this horrible clicking noise, and I've noticed it has slower load times than other Wiis. for instance today I was playing Brawl on sub space emissary and my character would die, all the action on the screen would freeze and glitch out until my character respawns (20-30 seconds later) and the music would randomly stop and start again. I'm worried it's defective, however I bought a 2 year Product Replacement Plan from Best Buy (meaning if anything goes wrong i can just get a new one) however they are always out of stock.
Thoughts? Maybe mine is defective, if others have similar experiences, but if it isn't defective then all those aforementioned glitches make it a terrible system

it's pretty obvious that your wii is defective. there's probably something wrong with the disc drive. maybe you can go to bestbuy and ask if they can give you a credit that once they get wii shipments they'd hold one for you as replacement. i mean you paid for that replacement plan and it should frickin count for something. if it doesn't work out then send it to nintendo.

Send it in. Nintendo should get it back to you sometime within the next year.

You don't switch it out with the ones at the store. You actually send it to Nintendo in a box, then they put a new one in the box (or fix the current problem) and ship it back.

I know I am probably saying something really dumb but...
Make sure it just isn't Brawl that goofs up. Brawl discs have had a lot of problems in the past. If it is with your other games too, then the posters above me did an excellent job in helping you out.

Hmm, wouldn't the Best Buy warranty kick in after Nintendo's expires? In other words, shouldn't theirs extend 2 years beyond Nintendo's? That way you can take advantage of Nintendo's service for the first year (or year + 90 days when you register it)
